@jifferey Fair enough, and it's been a pretty beloved game, to the point where people were upset that the team was acquired by Valve and it lead to their next project, In The Valley Of Gods, being permanently shelved (because the team all worked on Half-Life Alyx instead)

@FallenMushroom I do it for the love of the game. Twitter doesn't pay me, and when I did get a paycheck for a bit I donated it all to animal shelters. and yes it was popular, but I don't remember anyone talking about it in those 10 years.

My favorite part of the slow burn game was the unsatisfying ending and the murder mystery with no payoff and the developers who were DMCA'ing creators they didnt like. Firewatch is another GONE HOME situation where the ambience, setting, and theme were promising but had such a bad payoff it makes the entire process irrelevant. What im hearing is all it takes is 10 years for people to think your game is great. The forest was beautifully crafted with its ambience and atmosphere that wasnt captured yet at its release. The genuine fear and paranoia of knowing theres someone else in the woods causing trouble. Only to find out youre alone the entire game and you had nothing to worry about and the woman on the radio wanted nothing to do with you. You may have forgotten but I didnt.
