@Manda_Miji A couple days ago it was 40 Celsius but felt like 50 in Canada. But we've been pretty fortunate because we only had 2 days like that. Rest of summer has been in the 20s.

@winderstrom19 You're in for a wild ride. Buckle up. It's so good. Don't be afraid to lookup how linking materias work. I was getting my butt handed to me till I looked up and started understanding what materias do more. I got stuck on a boss pretty early because I didn't know about materias.

@MADkurious @ManaByte I mean I'd love to be proven wrong by them. I want them around to give me options for games to play. I'm very impressed with the visual quality they delivered in Resynced. I just have my doubts since the rest of Ubisoft drags their successful franchises down.

In all seriousness I think they’ll be fine after this. They needed a big win and they got one. You’d be surprised what companies can withstand when enough stakeholders are motivated

@Jorraptor The biggest upgrade was using hardware accelerated ray tracing into the software type in Shadows. That allowed them to get all features running at 60fps on ps5 pro. It's very impressive. Just wish they weren't so into predatory microtransactions.

Worth noting, Shadows still did pretty well all things considered, just not as big as the other RPGs.
But all the tech and features build for that game have helped Black Flag significantly and will be beneficial for all future titles.
From that perspective is Shadows a success.

For comparison Assassin's Creed Shadows had 1 million PLAYERS in 24 hours, so not even copies sold. Black Flag Resynced on a way smaller budget is doing much better so far.

It's pretty rare for me to play a single player game for more than 300 hours despite them being all I play. I'm in chapter 12 currently on my third playthrough, then gotta everything in hard mode for the platinum. Maybe this'll cross the 400 hour mark to join Horizon FW. 😁

@MADkurious @ManaByte I admire your optimism. But remakes will only delay the inevitable for so long. They had to pull some pretty drastic measures to get Tencent to save them without Tencent taking over.

Stock go brrrrrr right now though so…
I think this is the start of their comeback. Ezio and AC1 remakes will finance their next decade. This was probably a pretty serious final push for them, and I’m so happy it’s happening.
I’d treasure the old games if it failed, but since it’s not, IM EXCITED
