@StephenPunwasi This one is an investment fund so they can pull money from the CPP.

@rhum01 Canada Infrastructure Bank, Green Climate Fund, Defence Industrial Strategy and now the The Canada Strong Fund. Murky spendy that's hard to trace and never benefits the country, same play book for the last decade. What you want to bet CPP makes a big "investment" in this one.

BREAKING: Canada announcing its first sovereign wealth fund while running massive deficits is peak comedy. Sovereign wealth funds are for countries with surpluses (you know, actual wealth). This is just a fancy borrowing machine to fund pet projects while piling on more debt. Genius move, guys. What could go wrong? 🤪

The most famous quote of the election was: “Our old relationship of integration with the US is now over. We are over the shock of the American betrayal...America wants our land, our resources, our water, our country. These are not idle threats.” x.com/toog416/status…

@Sall_Goodman 36 million people already don't have door to door service. No area developed in the last 25 years has door to door service.

"Isolate seniors" by making them walk a little to get their mail. Like what exactly are they getting delivered to their homes on a daily basis. Are the old people still writing letters to each other and mailing them.
CityNews Toronto@CityNewsTO

Canada Post's plan to end door-to-door mail delivery, in favour of community mailboxes, will be life-changing, will isolate seniors and pose risks for people with mobility issues, advocates say toronto.citynews.ca/2026/04/19/adv…

@ExnerPirot All just to avoid running a pipeline thru Quebec. Because there is no "political" business case for a pipeline thru Quebec.

No proponent, no submission, no permits, no investment, no engineering, no consultation, no pipeline, no terminal, no LNG trains, no off taker, no supply, no ice strengthened LNG carrier fleet. Respectfully, Manitoba should focus on how to produce more things global customers want. Churchill is sucking up too much oxygen.

@Sall_Goodman I think I only had home delivery for about 4 years out of my whole life, never as an adult. Not much of any value in the mail now. They should just deliver it twice a week to a super box.

@mindingottawa @HICC_ca So they spent $2,800 on 30 cameras and then spent $1,197,121 trying to give them away. 🤦‍♂️

Project managers originally planned to find 30 homeless gay veterans in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax to take photos with free cameras. Records show the $1.2 million @HICC_ca project started late and had difficulty finding gay homeless veterans.

If Trump does walk away from the mess he has created with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will acquire a major new source of revenue. What was an International Strait will become a toll booth, which Iran claims is already yielding more revenue than its oil exports. 1/

@GrandpaRoy2 Japan, South Korea and the EU should be able to handle it. Surely the world can operate outside of the US shadow and if not then they will forever be at the whim of the US president.

@FamilyFarns A task considered too difficult and risky by the mighty USN itself, backed by the equally mighty USAF? Not a chance. The Gulf States did nothing, Europe does not have the necessary power projection capabilities, Asian countries will pay. Iran owns the Strait now thanks to Trump.
