We are 25 days into Democrats’ DHS shutdown, and now they don’t even want to sit down and have negotiations. This shutdown is impacting important functions like cybersecurity, Border Patrol, TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA, which are all more important than ever in these dangerous times. It’s time to end this.

Amendment XXVIII Section 1. The qualified electors of each congressional district or state shall have the power to recall and remove from office a Representative or Senator, respectively, before the expiration of their term, through a petition and special election process as provided in this Amendment. Section 2. A recall petition may be initiated at any time after the first year of the official's term and before the final six months of the term. The petition shall state the grounds for recall, which may include any reason deemed sufficient by the petitioners, and must be signed by qualified electors equal in number to at least twenty percent of the votes cast in the congressional district (for a Representative) or statewide (for a Senator) for that office in the preceding general election. Section 3. Upon certification of a valid petition by the appropriate election authorities of the state, a special recall election shall be held within sixty days in the congressional district for a Representative or statewide for a Senator. The ballot shall pose the question: "Shall [Name of Official] be recalled and removed from the office of [Representative/Senator]?" If at least seventy-five percent of the votes cast in the election are in the affirmative, the official shall be removed from office immediately upon certification of the results. Section 4. Upon removal under this Amendment, the vacancy shall be filled by a special election held within ninety days, in accordance with the laws of the state and the provisions of Article I, Section 2, Clause 4 for Representatives and the Seventeenth Amendment for Senators. The removed official shall be ineligible to run in the special election to fill the vacancy but may seek the office in subsequent regular elections. Section 5. This Amendment shall not impair the authority of each House of Congress to judge the elections, returns, and qualifications of its members, or to expel a member by a two-thirds vote as provided in Article I, Section 5, Clause 2. Congress and the states shall have power to enact legislation necessary to implement this Amendment, including procedures for petition verification, election administration, and prevention of abuse. Section 6. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

I'd like to propose a new constitutional amendment that allows for recall votes on congressmen and senators: A collection of signatures equalling 20% of the count of the previous voters forces a vote on whether or not to expel the sitting representative. If expelled, a new election is held within 90 days to replace them. This is how we purge the Mitch McConnells of the world.

You’re given $2m. You have 20 minutes to spend it. You can’t spend it on cars, airplanes, yacht or a house. You can’t spend it on golds or diamonds either. What will you buy?

My biggest gripe with historical/fantasy shows/movies is when someone falls into deep water in chainmail or armor and somehow ends up swimming away. It's like jumping into the deep end of a pool with a 50lb weight tied to your chest.

@JDVance So does recoil from shooting a gun one handed while holding a cell phone in the other hand. I don’t believe that he has internal bleeding. It’s probably just a hemorrhoid or a bruise.

While much of left has lied about this case, it turns out ramming a law enforcement officer with a car causes injuries. Who knew!

@eclipsebooty My brothers and I were homeschooled, and we were testing at college level in 8th grade. Now, we are all successful in our careers and marriages. Sitting through college for 4 years and doing the bare minimum to get a teaching degree isn't a defacto marker of intelligence.
