❌ Last Minute Terrible #WorldCupFantasy advice: -Frontloading? Amateur nonsense. Much better to load your squad with late-game England/Argentina players so you can then bench a player that will inevitably haul. -Play Clean Sheet Shield on the third-place playoff. Yes, the game that is usually chaos, rotation, vibes and 4-3 energy. Perfect time to bet everything on clean sheets. Defenders love exhibition football. Very sensible. -Use Max Captain in the tighter semi-finals instead. Why save it for a potentially higher-scoring gameweek when you can auto-captain someone in a 0-0 tactical trench war? Elite chip strategy. NASA are watching. -Don’t own Yamal because he “only has 20 points”. Ignore shots, penalties, role, volume and the fact he is Spain’s main attacker. Total points so far are the only data that matters. Underlying stats are for people who probably own spreadsheets and drink water. -Bring in Reece James and trust the minutes. What could possibly go wrong? He might start. He might not. He might play 60. He might be wrapped in cotton wool by half-time. Perfect semi-final asset. No notes. -Ignore Pedro Porro. All he has to do is pass to Yamal, who shoots roughly every 11 seconds. Sounds useless. Assists are overrated anyway. -Pick Elliot Anderson and expect a goal. Lovely player. Massive fee. Tremendous vibes. Goal threat? Let’s not ruin the dream with facts. ✅ Actual strategy, annoyingly: -Frontload hard. @FPL_TomHadley I'd be very surprised if it's the exact same game as last season. There's either by changes to the chips or some new scoring changes. (I'm hoping for a return to single chips)

These gaps between World Cup games means I can’t help but start planning FPL posts 😆 I’m guessing that likely all starts very promptly after the WC final! Wonder if they have any more game changing additions for us this summer… looking forward to it all now!
