@farmerschneck Aulari are great, client says you have to run others before you seethe value in Aulari. The bearing stub is the "shear pin", easy to change, carry a few of them. No problem getting a fert band 4" deep. Your planter will pull harder.

@BradLam74471068 Just doing nutrient management at an Aumish near Stirling. They have it functional over a drilled well, brand new I believe. I'll see what I can find out, looked brand new. Timber Top in Foxboro don't have them, just checked.

The temptation to broadcast fertilizer to speed up planting is always there, but especially in a late spring like this. Banding is more efficient and will be more plant available in a cooler spring. Plant well my friends!

@WoodyVa2 Wet/dry cycles making cracks in the soil act as aeration for the soil. Does surface soil wash into tge cracks or do they swell shut or a bit of both? If we take a sample from that cracks once it fills will it be enriched?

This is the 1965 Meteor wagon I sold about 2 decades ago. It is the only car I wish I never sold. It was a barn find with original paint. I cleaned up the wiring and made the 292, 3 on the tree run great. Note the tri-tone paint that was standard. Built at Ford in Oakville Ontario. I drove it daily in good weather. It would buzz 3000rpm at 100km/h (60mph) so I was always in the right lane on the highway, but got double honks from trucks as they passed! This is the only picture of it that I can find taken a few years ago. I have no idea where it is now.

@DCHighlander Alfalfa was treated pretty bad in our area. The drought minimized growth and any top growth was turned into feed.There was never more than an inch of frost, lots of snow cover. It's always hard to say, but I think it went into the winter sick.
