Feeding animals during this period is not an option. Stay away from anything written drought feed and choose feed with a good balance of carbs and proteins. Have vitamin packs at the farm & add one to water over 3-5 days every month . DCP salt mix must be available at libitum

The management of kids during this period requires you to be hands on. The basics; deworm at 4 weeks with a dewormer that targets milk tapeworm, give them additional milk and creep feed as, give their parents Vit A and additional feed. Keep kraals clean.Visit our pages for more.
