About Purpose. No need looking for what’s not lost; we create our purpose ultimately from our daily experiences. Purpose is an aggregate of our everyday realities. There’s something about the future hiding in our today. Live in the moment. Create! First things first.

Happiness. Sustained happiness is a state not in a thing, a being, a place or space. Happiness is a choice for now, not a desire of the future. Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions - Dalai Lama. First within, then without.

Your contact list may not be a reflection of the depth of your connection. Your network may not truly be your networth. Who knows you may matter more than who you know. Connect always through value. First things first.

If you a hit a great idea, or a great idea hits you, start small. Think big but don’t be held back from starting small. The mystery of small beginnings: in quiet and hidden places of learning, growth and consistency, dreams are nurtured to full-term. First things first.

@FaseunYemi We are on a ride to make an impact. To nurture what truly makes us happy. To live and manifest the wisdom of gardening, day in and day out, we will show up and do what is right.

We are daily confronted with options. Some focus on output to create impression, others on value to make impact. One is fleeting, the other, sustainable. One dwells on hype (transient), the other builds a solid base for class (permanent). Choices. What are we doing today?

We are firing now! Managers who expect the worst from associates; Deficient in trust and honesty; Do not trust and treat equitably; Fail to groom and develop; Lack effective communication skills; Show zero empathy and connectedness. Their services no longer required. Regards.

First in last out (FILO) daily may not be an indication of hard-work. Possibly, something is broken in the flow of life. There’s life and there’s work. Working to live and living to work is definition of harmony. Juggling both balls successfully is wisdom. First things first.

Dear line manager/employer, After today’s Lagos traffic experience due to the floods, work from home tomorrow will be a great idea for those impacted. A great culture is not what we preach but what we practice. Time to suspend policy and embrace empathy. First things first

Solomon Grundy. Hired March of a particular year, retention bonus in December. Promoted a year later with 50% pay rise. Expanded role post-promotion. Demoted few months later and exited eventually. We will leave the job or the job will leave us. Leave great vibes behind.

Unpopular opinion. Make your boss shine and don’t focus on taking the credit. Consistently deliver ‘the goods’ and be a chief excellence officer. To quickly move to the next paygrade, don’t work for the accolades. Your boss yes, also your sponsor. First things first.

“To every leader who’s quietly struggling: You are not alone. You are not weak. You are not invisible. Let’s normalize checking in on the strong ones too. Let’s build workplaces - and communities - where compassion is the culture, not the exception.” First things first.

New skills required for survival and to thrive in today’s ‘new abnormal’. What got us this far won’t take us farther. The iceberg has melted, the cheese has moved, the smell of the coffee is new. Change or be changed. Pivot or perish. Adapt or adieu. First things first.

@FaseunYemi This is the position of the labor law. But if an employee is absent for a day, a company can't pay him/her since the employee didn't earn it or provide any services. One can't say #deduction is made since it was ever earned in the first place. #OgaHR

Deducting employee’s salary as a form of sanction rather than making recourse to appropriate disciplinary processes is wrong. It is an infraction against the employee and needs to stop. We can do better to make workplaces great, less toxic and safe. First things first.
