@GobblesOnX Uh sure... It's all been erased and no longer exists... lol. That's the problem with living that kind of life when growing up. It's not like your family home is around for another 100 years. But we grew up with a certain freedom and knew the risks. A belt on the ass!

@themaddierune I think you should burn it and have the ashes put in a glass globe where it will symbolize death never to be read again. I was just out on the coast where glass blowing is popular. Most people use the ashes from cremation but really... how is this any different?

Not to be dramatic but I think about the rejected poem every day. I keep asking myself if something made with real care deserves to find an audience somewhere, even if it wasn't the one I made it for. Would you want to read it? Should I just post it? It's fiction/poetry hybrid narrative about being emotionally unfed, getting just enough to survive but never enough to feel full, and learning to feed yourself instead. I titled it: scraps aren’t a meal.

Made a new friend, our daughters are the same age, I loved her company. She was going through something hard, so I handwrote her 1,000 words of original poetry/fiction, because that's how I show love...I'm a deeply creative person. She said she didn't have time to read it, called it weird, and didn't even take it. My soul left my body, reentered my body just to die again, and am now watching my own embarrassment from a small cloud above my house. Adult female friendship in your 30s is a horror movie and I keep volunteering to be the first victim.

@themaddierune Some animal ate my cucumber plants before they got past a couple leaves. All 9 of them. Is this a delicacy I am unaware of? Just the stem? I suspect mice. But not the squash... What a weird world we live in. Organizing books by color is not like this at all.

My mother organizes her bookshelf by color and has never once asked how I'm actually doing, these are related somehow. Everything looks beautiful and nothing has been read. I think she likes things that are easy to look at, and I have never once in my life been easy to look at.

Hi friends.
I won’t be here today. But I’m asking for prayers on overload.
I woke up to news that my grandfather fell, gashed his head and fractured the same hip he fractured a couple years ago.
I don’t ask for prayers like this often but we could sure use them if you can spare them.
