The Malindi Office conducted a capacity-building training for staff of Tana River County on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), with a specific focus on preventing and addressing GBV within the workplace. The programme, supported by @UNDPKenya through the Advancing Food Systems Resilience in Kenya Project, aimed to strengthen the County’s efforts in GBV prevention and response, enhance women’s participation in leadership, and promote socio-economic empowerment across Tana River County. The training was held at YMCA Minjila in Tana Delta Sub-County, bringing together county personnel to deepen their understanding of GBV obligations and reinforce their role in creating safe, inclusive, and equitable working environments.

As we head into the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV, we engaged young people in Junda in a candid conversation on GBV forms, survivor support, reporting channels, and challenging harmful norms. Together, we’re breaking the silence and building a safer community. #EndGBV
