@engineers_feed Assuming there are 80 cubes in the stack (no hidden voids or odd protrusions) and that the final cube must be solidly filled with no cubes left over, you can do it with exactly 5. Yes, I'm serious.

@engineers_feed No, it's topographically known as a torus, there is nothing scientific about topography, it is a priori. Science is empirical. These entirely different epistemologies.

@coloradolocalmf @NickRogersBTL Look through my tweets. I criticize democrats constantly. But I also criticize pussies who make excuses rather than take action. And the world works like this: If you stomp on a small enough fire, the flames go out.

@Fauble2000 The "stealing from artists and putting artists out of work" argument is absolutely 100% neo-Luddism.

One of the tactics the anti-AI neo-Luddites have of opposing AI is lying about datacenters. Here's an example: Maine banned datacenters based on the perceived issues of power and water consumption, which were absolutely not an issue! Not that you'd know that from watching the mainstream media... But at least you have me to dig through the story and produce the truth! youtu.be/HkwwmDkzlLY

@fredco1948 You're the one with the belief. You believe, "AGW bad." I'm saying, "Maybe not."

The presumption that global warming is necessarily bad is an indefensible position predicated on normalcy bias and an appeal to naturalism. It entirely relies on the completely unsubstantiated premise that the natural state on ecosystems is ideal.

@coloradolocalmf @NickRogersBTL Look at what you're doing. You litterally drove by a fire you probably could have stopped and are rationalizing that selfish behavior by saying it was more important to get to work on time. Instead of defending your cowardice, buy a fire extinguisher or resolve to be a better man

@Fauble2000 @NickRogersBTL Apparently you're unfamiliar with the concept of having a job & responsibilities which preclude spontaneous attempts at amateur firefighting?

@LPNational Right? I would instantly put in some serious OT or search for a second job. I can handle 80 hour weeks. I've done it. But I can't stand that they litterally withhold more than half of my extra income when I do.

Society should identify high IQ children as early as possible, then put them to work solving the world’s problems. What could be more important?

@fredco1948 That's exactly the appeal to naturalism I'm pointing out. As though the climate of out ancestors (whom mostly lived in far more tropical regions) is applicable to modern society, who live in more temperate climates and with air conditioning and swamp coolers.

@Fauble2000 Your statement is BS. Homo sapiens is around for 300000 years. Unprecedented rise of CO2 is NOT good, AGW denying idiot.

@fredco1948 You didn't read this. Dessler spends the whole piece arguing the big heat numbers are misleading, and his methodology never nets out cold-death reductions.

@fredco1948 I couldn't have asked for a more perfect example of what I was talking about. No attempt to justify one's belief, just expression of personal incredulity. Thank you.

@fredco1948 Your knee jerk reaction of litterally "AGW is not good." supports my statement. You think it's bad by default. That's the bias I'm talking about.

@fredco1948 Some places will have more extreme weather, others will have more consistent weather. Some "extreme weather" can even be good in certain contexts, for example, unprecidentedly high rainfall in formerly arid climates enabling agricultural. Or warmth where it would be too cold.
