Leather marking shows inconsistency due to pathing logic errors. The machine engraves curved surfaces using a probe for distance sensing, compensating focal distance. It smoothed a flat PLA curve but struggled with complex patterns. #brand #product

My favorite is Adaptive Cubic now. But it's in the group of infills where print time changes dramatically between layers, even on models with constant area across all layers 🔪 Big big no no on smaller models where you hit the cooling minimum layer time threshold, makes very visible artifacts on perimeters going from shiny to matte in a repeating pattern. Not that long ago we added "Consistent surface" slowdown logic in @PrusaSlicer, basically solving the biggest issue. But I think there's one more blocker to deal with for good. I'll dig up my notes from last year, I was doing a deeper dive into this, but tldr: the whole 3DP community including us kinda picked the non-optimal path when it comes to balancing print time, material use, and actual strength. @johnny_bit I believe it will work on Orca, Orca surely just needs the printer profile. But I'll admit I haven't tried it. FlashForge have traditionally been more of a closed compnay, but sine they atarted using an Orca fork, these's a lot less they seem compitent enough to lock down.

I am not ok with a lot of things, but negativity is a turn-off. I would rather put my time and money into positive projects.

@thrutheframe @PatrickLebel9 @reprinted3D Mostly this. I can’t like a tool but dislike how the brand behind it behaves at times. I think a lot of this is more, bad communication driven by Chinese cultural differences of trying to “save face” it’s just not in that culture to admit fault, ever.
