I enjoy sharing. All these years on this wretched app it's what I've done. Y'all heard me talk about wanting to be better, watched me get 3 degrees & become a licensed psychotherapist. I won't stop sharing my struggles & what I'm learning. If only 1 person benefits, I'm satisfied

A practice I'm so glad I learned is tracking what evokes pleasant emotions & noting them, as in I actually have a (growing) list of things that spark joy. Because I know the brains job is to notice problems so I have to notice the good things in my life by myself for my own good.

I learn a lot from twitter. It was on this app that I did a 180 on my opinion on hitting kids. I really grew up thinking that was normal behaviour and didn't see the problem with it.

I've been struggling with how to frame this but I'm prioritizing the potential benefits over the risk of being misunderstood. Your child should be using you to practice saying no so they already have that skill when they meet predatory adults. Compliance isn't always a good thing
