The only mistake the Igbos made here is that they should have briefed the necessary institutions and organizations before carrying out their coronation in South Africa 🇿🇦. This system of theirs has been going on for decades in every country they find themselves. Igbos living far away from their ancestral homeland come together to contribute money, protect each other’s interests and businesses, sponsor the poor among them, and vote a leader to guide them, especially on account of their organization.

CAB 3 has 22 Clauses, ONLY 2 are being opposed by VERY FEW people. When you see the folks saying NOTO2030, they are just saying NO to one of 22 Clauses in the Bill. This is where we are in the discourse: 1. Of all the 22 Clauses, ONLY 1 is being contested because some people think it requires a referendum. This is the Clause that changes the Electoral Cycle from 5 years to 7 years. This means, if there is going to be a challenge of the Bill in the Courts, only this clause will most likely be challenged. 2. The Clause for the Change from the Direct Election of the President to a Parliamentary System is being opposed by some but no one is saying it requires a referendum. ************************************ The Legal Argument for a Referendum is VERY WEAK, more so because it was made during the Second Amendment… this is why Lawyers like @BitiTendai are focusing on making political arguments instead of challenging it in the courts. As for the Parliamentary System, the debate is purely political. Folks who are against it are saying it takes away the right to vote…. Others are saying the MPs can be bribed to vote for a rich president… Both arguments against the parliamentary system are irrational. For Zimbabwe, that was the system used when the ONE MAN ONE VOTE system was attained at Independence in 1980. No one ever said it was undemocratic… in fact, it was & is still the same system used in the UK (a very old democracy). There were lots of rich people in Zimbabwe in the 1980s, they never bribed the MPs to vote for them because the MPs belonged to Political Parties. The moment ZANU won the majority of the Constituencies, EVERYONE knew that Robert Mugabe would be the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe. People who wanted Joshua Nkomo to be the Prime Minister simply voted for ZAPU MPs. This is a VERY SIMPLE issue, & a TRIED & TESTED system that delivered amazing results in all the countries using it!

This profile that purports to be that of the President of Zimbabwe describes Wicknell Chivayo as "an astute and maverick young businessman" who donated ambulances. But what we know is that these ambulances are part of Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) in partnerships with UN Agencies and the WHO. All African governments are receiving them under an aid programme.
President of Zimbabwe@edmnangagwa

This morning at State House, I had the distinct pleasure of receiving a generous donation of 10 brand new, state-of-the-art ambulances equipped with the latest medical technologies including respirators, oxygen delivery systems, defibrillators and advanced patient monitoring units. These ambulances were formally handed over to the Minister of Health and Child Care for onward distribution across all Provinces to strengthen emergency response capacity and improve access to critical healthcare services. In addition, I handover 200,000 litres of diesel, which will directly support the effective deployment and sustained operation of these life-saving units. This donation has been made possible through the generosity of an astute and maverick young businessman @wicknellchivayo who has a golden heart and continues to tirelessly support various key Government programmes under Vision 2030, which is anchored on modern healthcare systems that leave “No one and No place behind”. I extend my sincere appreciation to @wicknellchivayo for this gesture, which exemplifies the critical role of the private sector in complementing Government’s efforts to deliver quality service delivery in the health sector. Such partnerships between Government and indigenous businesses reaffirm my administration’s matra that “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo”, and I urge other businesspeople within the private sector to emulate this gesture and exemplary conduct. My Administration remains resolute in its focus on strengthening the healthcare system and ensuring that Zimbabwe transitions to world-class health standards as we advance towards an upper middle-income economy by 2030.

𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘? As an anecdote, last week, Joshua Maponga had an accident on his way to Kwekwe. Speaking from Arundel Hospital, he lamented the fact that after his accident, he spent over 4 hrs waiting by the roadside for emergency services on that stretch of road. Once the ambulance arrived, Maponga was taken to a private hospital called Arundel, owned by Kuda Tagwirei, all the way in Harare—skipping a number of government hospitals in Kwekwe, Chegutu and even Harare—simply because none of them could provide proper emergency care. Sanctions on Zimbabwe were removed on March 4, 2024, so why do we still not have adequate ambulances and emergency services in our public hospitals for any class of person to get quality care? The reason we fought to remove sanctions was to enable our government to sign lease agreements to lease ambulances with well‑resourced fleet managers in Zimbabwe or South Africa (they don’t have to buy them cash), so that we’d have enough ambulances in every town and city to save lives in emergencies. Our government can afford monthly instalments for a huge fleet of ambulances and fire trucks. We also did it so that our government could import the latest medical equipment from anywhere in the world, which they can do now since sanctions are gone. So where’s the problem? The problem is that since ZANU PF got another mandate in the 2023 elections and since sanctions were removed in March 2024, our leaders have spent more time focused on promoting 2030 than buying ambulances. So, how would you rate the President’s delivery on healthcare: excellent, good, fair, bad, or poor? Does he deserve a term extension?

𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗢 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗦? Hi my brother Godfrey, Rutendo hasn't changed sides. I still believe in telling the good Zimbabwe story and promoting the nation BUT: 1. I don't believe in telling the good story for leaders that want to force a constitutional amendment that gives the President a term extension through parliamentary majority, without a referendum. 2. I don't want an underpaid, incompetent, and self-serving parliament like the one we have in Zimbabwe, picking our President based on who bribes the 200 MPs with more money, because then what happens in future when we as a nation don’t want a rich President (future President, not this one) who bribes parliament and only enriches himself and his allies, to continue governing? 3. I don’t want to give a term extension to a President who allows our state apparatus to be used to beat, imprison, and burn the property of those who disagree with him, risking the country being put under new sanctions or being invaded by the West. 4. For over seven years I told the good story about this administration, I fought sanctions, defended Zimbabweans working in South Africa from being deported so that they continue remitting foreign currency back home, and they [the administration] benefited immensely from my work because I believed in their vision and the nation. Despite all this good work, they did not appreciate me and instead they rewarded other people for the outcomes of my work. So, am I bitter? No, I'm not because I followed a vision that I believed. However, I now disagree with the new vision of extending the term of the President without referendum, for the reasons I give above. As a result, I've stopped telling this new story because it’s not a good story, and I am openly giving reasons why I can’t support a term extension for this President, without referendum, as a warning of the dangers inherent in this new vision. Some say that me no-longer telling their good story and being more critical is me selling out. No! It’s me choosing to stop telling the story of a vision/plan that I don’t believe in. Let’s just remind each other that I was never paid to tell the good story in the first place, but I believed in their vision hence I supported it. However, now, I don’t believe in the new direction hence I have chosen to stop telling that story that I don’t believe in, and to give reasons why I don’t believe in it.

Another awesome reason to back CAB 3 for CONTINUITY & STABILITY. Here are the numbers that matter: There are 360 000 A1 farmers in Zimbabwe, all in line to get Title Deeds under President @edmnangagwa’s Presidential Title Deeds program. Dr Tagwirei, the Chairman of the Land Tenure Implementation Committee, gave a DETAILED lecture on this awesome Vision: After getting Title Deeds, they qualify for Production Booster PACKAGE comprising of: 1. A borehole 2. A Pump (Solar Powered). 3. A @Starlink Kit. 4. Irrigation equipment covering AT LEAST 1 hectare. 5. A 20 year mortgage to pay for the HEAVILY DISCOUNTED land. All this, will automatically put more than 360 000 hectares of agricultural land under irrigation & totally change the Lives & Livelihoods of more than 360 000 families. The implementation will be holistic, taking into account the historical challenges of these farmers. In addition to technical support (agronomic, financial, & management), the farmers will be assisted with access to markets. Their farms will be transformed into solid & sustainable businesses. With all this support, the farmers will be able to pay their mortgages into a DESIGNATED Escrow Account. This money will be used to provide agricultural financing & to pay compensation (to former Whyte Farmers) for developments on the land. This is a SOLID & ACHIEVABLE Vision spearheaded by a Visionary President & Implemented by COMPETENT folks like Dr Tagwirei & the LTIC team! Folks, this is how wealth is created & poverty defeated…. No slogans, No unrealistic promises, JUST great planning & meticulous implementation!

I HAVE A ASK: How does borehole tax improve water supply to residents? What is the link between taxing a hole I have bored alone because of gasping municipal tapes, and my having uninterrupted flow of water the morning after? More so when the levying institution has nothing to do with water body-building or water supply???

I can be the Devil’s Advocate here and say: Naturally, we should discourage the sinking of boreholes especially in urban areas… the tax there should rather be TO DISCOURAGE the drilling of boreholes… and as a govt, we may have to bear the brunt of the health & environmental problems created by the use of boreholes… The urban water table is a very important resource that shouldn’t be exploited excessively… But for the rural areas and farm, govt should incentivise

JUSTICE WILL AVENGE HIS CALLOUS MURDER‼️ At 10pm on the 15th of March, fortuitously, I went to collect a rental car from this guy depicted in the picture, at the ZAOGA Church in Marlborough (on Harare Drive); Mr Walter Mapfumo, the guard on duty. He directed me to where the keys were & after assessing the car, I duly drove out 20 minutes later. Less than 4 hours later, a band of armed bandits scaled the perimeter wall, accosting the guard taking him prisoner. He apparently resisted. The robbers initially coldly gouged-out both his eyes! Yeah they did that! Then after robbing ê church of money, they stabbed him in the chest. Several times. Killing him immediately. I learnt with utter sadness of dedicated guard Mr Mapfumo’s cruel demise. I am a hardliner against such callous crime. I am in regular touch with the @PoliceZimbabwe authorities. And my prayer was: THE BANDITS THAT MURDERED MR MAPFUMO IN COLD BLOOD MEET THEIR END IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS TO COME. The Police Zimbabwe crack squad doesn’t mess. And they don’t miss a target. Watch the space‼️ Jolly fellow. My 20 minute interaction with him memorable. So sad his life so cruelly curtailed. MHSRIP🙏🏾
