Can’t believe that 20 years ago today, amid some of the worst floods the Lake District has ever seen, Mrs Jez (as she became) and I somehow managed to wade our way to church to get married. It may not have been exactly the wedding we planned but the marriage has been pretty good!

@simpswino Well - 3 of them were brought in this season so it’s not impossible. The problem is that although we’re quite good at identifying young players to sell on at a decent profit, we’re very bad at identifying players to make a decent cohesive squad.

@louorns Yes. But this doesn’t have to mean that. The thing our squad lacked this season was 2 or 3 in the 28-31 age bracket who’ve relevant experience in English football. We don’t need another Danny Rose or Glenn Murray. A few more Bola or even Kyprianou types would be welcome.

@The_Kit_Parade Sponsor took ours from a top kit to one of the worst. I’m in the minority but not a fan of Cov’s. Millwall’s was lovely apart from the white band at the bottom. I quite like Brum’s (in the minority again I think) and Wednesday’s without the sponsor. Stoke’s is my least favourite.
