Syed Mir Mahmood Nasir (d. 2025) hosted Dr. Abdus Salaam (1926-1996) at the American Fazl Mosque in Washington DC in 1980 after he received his 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics.
The worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad (1909-1982), Khalifatul Masih III (1965-1982) visited #WashingtonDC for the 2nd time in 1980 during the tenure of Syed Mir Mahmood Nasir (1929-2025) as Imam of @FazlMosque.

Syed Mir Mahmood Ahmad Nasir - MTA International Tribute
Syed Mir Mahmood Ahmad Nasir Sahib was the son of Hazrat Syed Mir Muhammad Ishaq Sahib (ra), the nephew of Hazrat Amma Jan (ra), and also the son-in-law of Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra).
A lifelong servant of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, he served in numerous pivotal roles, including missionary, scholar, educator, and Principal of Jamia Ahmadiyya Rabwah. He leaves behind four sons and one daughter.
