Black and Latino kids have been left behind by 16 years of one party rule in California, we've got to do better. We must make sure every child can read by third grade, we need phonics in every school, and we need accountability. A grade for every school and a grade for every teacher so we can reward the good ones and remove the bad ones.

I do not understand how this can be real. School is supposed to assist parents in preparing their children to be productive, capable adults. In real life when I started my career I had to pass a timed test with 600 questions 95% was the minimum passing grade. School needs to prepare people for real life.

When I was in school, a "B+" was a 92 and an "A-" was a 93-95. What was considered an A when you were in school?
