The Somalia's illegal e-visa will remain in effect until the Somaliland government recognizes the legal situation and applies international law. On Monday, Somali forces entered Baidoa and ousted a regional leader who not only defied Mogadishu but also dared to challenge Turkey in Somalia. The symbolism of Somali forces 'liberating' Baidoa on board a Turkish mine-resistant armoured vehicle - the BMC Kirpi - and doing a lap of honour in the town as jubilant crowds mob the soldiers is not lost on observers. This is a moment of Turkish geopolitical triumph just as significant as Libya, Syria and Azerbaijan. Ankara is quietly reconfiguring the Horn.

The Arab League couldn't be bothered to hold an emergency summit after Iranian attacks on Gulf Arab nations. But Israel recognizes Somaliland? Instant emergency summit & outrage. They ignored Somaliland's 35-year plight, backed the Isaaq genocide in the 80s, and vanished when Somalilanders rebuilt alone. The arab league is an Egyptian-Saudi puppet show. Sole mission: bash Israel

BREAKING 🚨: U.S. Lawmaker Urges Full Recognition of Somaliland Following successful outreach from the Somaliland government, U.S. Representative John Rose (@RepJohnRose) has called on Washington to grant full recognition to Somaliland, praising the region’s stability, democratic institutions, and economic potential. The move comes after Somaliland’s diplomatic efforts showcased its ability to secure support across both the U.S. Congress and Senate, highlighting decades of effective governance despite lack of international recognition. Rose introduced the Somaliland Economic Access and Opportunity Act, which would open doors for Somaliland to access international banking and global markets. Somaliland declared independence from Somalia in 1991 and has maintained its own government, currency, and security forces, proving its capacity to operate as a sovereign state. Somaliland’s growing support in Washington follows Israel’s recent recognition, signaling a shift in international attitudes toward the breakaway region. Advocates argue that U.S. recognition would reward Somaliland’s proven stability and democratic record, strengthen regional security, and expand economic cooperation.

“As we cutting of the South of Djibouti at the dump, we saw this family digging a hole and there is a body next to the hall in a shroud, so they burying a grandpa 👴 in the dump. So we went to Somalia we met with some trible chieftans there, and we drove back up to Djibouti, and as we pass the dump, there was pack of wild dogs digging up the body, and I said to the ambassador, there but grace of god, thank GOD! my grandparents said we should emigrate to America 🇺🇸” This is an official personal statement to the United States. Life in Djibouti has become utterly miserable. For many years, that old man @IsmailOguelleh has degraded the Djiboutian people and broken their spirit until they can no longer think for themselves. Now, after 26 years in power, this miserable old man is running for office once more. @Ilyasdawaleh

Dictatorship weakens a nation by crushing freedom and opportunity. Power without accountability damages the economy, limits jobs, and blocks progress. Its deepest harm is psychological. Fear, censorship, and oppression create anxiety, silence ambition, and erode people’s sense of purpose. Public services decline as control replaces competence. Poor education and healthcare trap societies in long-term stagnation. In places like Djibouti, youth face unemployment and limited futures. The issue is not lack of ability but lack of opportunity. A Djiboutian woman burdened by fear and frustration, doubting her physical and psychological strength while watching youth especially in the army struggle under pressure; in places like Djibouti, she highlights not lost ability, but lost opportunity under authoritarian rule. Dictatorship does not build strength. It slowly breaks the people a country depends on.

The Irro & Abiy meeting is about strategy, not ceremony. Ethiopia wants access; Somaliland wants legitimacy. If it delivers real deals and recognition in practice, it’s a win. If it’s just optics and it's Symbolic meeting, no substance, Somaliland gains little. #Addisababa #HOA

A win for Somaliland is a binding deal on Port of Berbera access, major infrastructure investment, and steps toward formal recognition by Ethiopia. Anything short of that is just optics.
Yeabsera Addis@Yeab_sera21

@DavidGreenhh Cool take. Strategy over ceremony is the only way this moves the needle. What specific deliverables would make this meeting a real win for Somaliland, in your view?

Breaking news! This is a secret message from Mustafe. He finally revealed himself. I had warned the federal government about how dangerous Mustafe is, but they never paid attention to me. In this leaked secret clip from tonight, Mustafe claims that Ethiopia is on the verge of disintegration. Therefore, we need to establish a caretaker government like Somalia's. He also mentioned that the Prosperity Party only exists in name. This situation needs to be addressed before it’s too late. @AbiyAhmedAli @PMEthiopia @addisstandard @TemesgenTiru @JemalBeker1 @ButaDubi @SuleimanDedefo
