Been thoroughly enjoying @MightMagicFates this past week! Made it to Celestial rank playing mostly Academy and Inferno. Both have some fun spell synergies going on. Might have to make some card tier lists. But first, must climb the ladder.

@Wizards_Help you should look into this. Clearly a problem going on with players not getting drafts to start. It’s impossible right now.

This has happened 6 consecutive times today on @MTG_Arena and it’s absolutely ridiculous, can’t get a draft to start. Once you get placed at a table, there shouldn’t be a ready button. Just start the draft. This should have been obvious ages ago.

@StonkHands I get that. I have a sealed booster box collection that I also don’t intend to sell unless I really need to. A lot of them don’t have many recent sales so it’s kind of hard to track anyways.

@scoriox @MightMagicFates It’s pricey to buy packs, true. I think everything will start to feel better once crafting goes online. And I’d expect some economic changes. Perhaps faster F2P progression mechanics. Seasonal salss would probably be a good idea. Game economy will improve, I’m not concerned.

@FeldyloxGaming @MightMagicFates I am cool with paying, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Either F2P is fast and feels meaningful, or the paid tracks are relatively low cost. But this has neither, and it needs one of the two.

I'm genuinely enjoying @MightMagicFates TCG but at the same time I'm incredibly disappointed they didn't release a complete game. They had the opportunity to genuinely improve this space and make a banger TCG from day 1 and quite frankly they fumbled it. Normally crypto games do incredibly well with the surrounding systems, and the games quality suffers, but might and magic has done the opposite so far. Here's what's missing that should be the bare minimum - earning packs is insanely slow and makes for a bad progression loop - no news on rewards for ranked play - no crafting/disenchanting system - no singleplayer I like to remain hopeful that this basic shit is around the corner, but I've stood here before with crypto games and if history tells me anything, these features are 2 years away. If that happens, this game will be dead. It has about 30 days to get it's shit together or players won't stay to see it improve. I mean no disrespect here, I'm just dissapointed to see such a quality title be rushed out, yet again.

@viper_9337 I’ve been reading the Classroom of the Elite light novels. If you have only watched the anime, I would highly recommend the novels since it adds a lot more to the story. Peak fiction!

Back when I was playing a lot of TCGs 10+years ago, mostly Yugioh, Ayanokouji would describe the mindset me and a lot of peers would have at the time here. I got sick of that though, but should I give the villain arc a 2nd chance? Also watch Classroom of the Elite guys, peak!

@kingscoriox Fire Emblem is one if my all time favorite video game series. I would back a crypto Fire Emblem.

Here's the real million dollar question. Who tf is building the Fire Emblem of Crypto Gaming? If someone handed me $1m in seed money right now, I would form a team and build it myself. It has a huge fanbase, and insane untapped potential. Fire Emblem Heroes is one of the top grossing apps of all times. Think about your NFTs being characters and in PvP they can be killed permanently. You can also do PvE missions to gather resources and risk losing your soldiers, combine them for new classes. This would go incredibly hard, and I want it so bad.

I’m gonna get a lot of hate for this, but IMX > Ronin. What really matters in Web3 gaming is the ability to onboard gamers from outside of crypto. Right now, IMX is doing a better job partnering with Web2 games and onboarding new players. You can only recycle attention and liquidity for so long. That’s why chains like Abstract are quickly catching up to Ronin. You can have the most established IP and even better tech, but if you can’t convert new users, you’re dead in the water.
