@BarroomNetwork So if you were the Bears, would you want a 2027 3rd, or a 2026 4th? Typically a 1 round penalty(for the team moving up) for future years, right? I feel like 2027 is shaping up to be a stronger draft, but time value of assets says I want the 4th to play this year at least on ST.

@BarroomNetwork Mesidor is the most ready to play as a rookie, but he's 2 years older. I still don't know that I would take him. Might be a good time to take a S or trade out. Young's DUI and general lack of explosive traits concern me, and Parker is a guy i can't seem to figure out

@WCGridiron I would hate Proctor on this team, but the other two sre so much better that it's worth it. I would be furious if they traded up and only got a.project LT.

Our Mock Madness Tourney continues with the OT bracket. Which of these two round mocks for the #Bears do you like? A) Trade up 15: Monroe Freeling (LT, Georgia), 60: Kamari Ramsey (S, USC) B) 25: Kadyn Proctor (LT, Alabama), 57: A.J. Haulcy (S, LSU), 60: Gracen Halton (DL, OK)

@WCGridiron Depends on whether we parlay either of those '27 picks into something this year. I am not a huge fan of Miller, but I like the rest of that group. Don't like Lomu and that's way too early for Wheatley. Probably would take B and hope for another day 2 pick with the '27s

@jacobinfante24 Hecht is my day 2 target. I like him better than Slaughter, and Lew's injury pushes him down a notch for me

@thescorechicago @grotesports Yes. Injury depth is a big problem. Game day if everyone is healthy is minor, because of the RB and multiple TE formations. Probably won't see the 4th WR on the field even 10% of the snaps, but if Burden or Odunze miss time (and both have), Raymond and Walker are it.

New Falcons GM Ian Cunningham has deep ties to the Eagles organization. And now has completed one of the more complicated trades in recent memory. Just another post saying the #Bears should have been compensated with those 3rd round picks by now.
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

A Falcons-Eagles trade, per ESPN sources: Falcons and Eagles swapped fourth- and sixth-round picks, with Atlanta also acquiring S Sydney Brown. Picks No. 114 and 197 to the Eagles in exchange for picks No. 122, 215 and Sydney Brown.

@WCGridiron I don't like either of those options. No way I trade up for a non-transformational player. Might be too early for Clark, and Moore is a non-scheme fit.

@Bears_Luchador Kind of like what Buffalo did with theirs. No Final Fours, no year-round concerts if they don't put the roof on though...Missing a crap-ton of incremental revenue without the roof

Just Another Year Chicago: Bears@JAYChi_Bears

Local architecture studio Edward Peck Design put together renderings for a concept what Soldier Field could look like IF The #Bears actually stayed in Chicago. Would have a covered Lake Shore Drive, above field scoreboard, glass dome, & more. Ngl, pretty sweet. Thoughts?

@JoeySangwich_ So if the Fins will take a 2027 2nd and a 4th this year for Achane, would you do that deal? Would Swift have to be traded in that case, or do you relegate Monongai to the 3rd RB role and 1-2 it with Achane and Swift?

Remember last year when D’Andre Swift was going to get traded because Ben Johnson, the Lions offensive coordinator, traded him away in Detroit- so obviously Ben Johnson hated D’Andre Swift and wanted to shoot him in the head and draft a running back in the 1st round instead?

@HalasHooligan @Chicago_NFL Banks after the second broken foot I think drops off a lot of teams early round boards. I think teams will be reluctant to draft him to his capability because of the questions around his long term availability

@ChicagoBearsHC I saw that he was in. I am guessing they are looking to clarify what happened and whether he has changed. Ultimately, I don't think George green-lights that pick.

@BarroomNetwork I have a feeling Warren is gone by 25, and Thieneman may be as well. Bears are going to have to move to get Haulcy because he won't make it to 57. and the level drops considerably into 3. But if I had my choice, I would take Warren at 25, Jacas + Halten in 2, and BPA after
