@cjsnowdon And the problem you have there is the difficulty in controlling for all the confounders particularly if moderate alcohol is perceived as health promoting behaviour (and thus asociated with other health promoting behaviour) as it has been until recently.

My mother is a physician. I have friends, aunts, uncles, cousins who are doctors, pharmacists, nurses and who work in hospitals. This is incredibly insulting to everyone in the healthcare profession.
