🚨PSD, AUR și PNL tocmai au votat împreună în Comisia Juridică a Senatului o lege care obligă ONG-urile să publice identitatea TUTUROR donatorilor. Exact aceeași lege a adoptat-o Viktor Orbán în Ungaria. A fost sancționată de Comisia Europeană. A fost sancționată de Curtea de Justiție a UE. Precedentul există, e documentat și cunoscut. Consiliul Legislativ a dat aviz negativ. Consiliul Economic și Social a dat aviz negativ - și a invocat explicit precedentul ungar și încălcarea legislației europene. Nu contează. Au votat-o oricum. AUR, PSD și PNL. Fără dezbatere. Senatorul USR Ciprian Rus spune că a aflat de amendamente în timpul ședinței și că în aproximativ un minut s-a trecut la vot. Mecanismul e în felul următor: dacă știi că donația ta către un ONG cu activitate "sensibilă politic" va fi publicată pe site-ul ANAF, donezi mai puțin. Sau deloc. Efectul de descurajare e intenționat - CES l-a numit explicit. Asta e intimidare instituționalizată a societății civile. Iar dacă un ONG nu depune declarația? Suspendat. Dacă durează un an? Dizolvat de drept. AUR a inițiat legea. PSD a votat-o. PNL - același PNL care se laudă cu valorile europene - a votat-o și el, prin singurul reprezentant prezent, Daniel Fenechiu. Același Fenechiu care acum trei ani a încercat o lege similară anti-ONG și a retras-o după reacții publice puternice. Proiectul intră în plenul Senatului pe 18 mai. Societatea civilă trebuie să fie cu ochii pe ei.

This is a delusion. The Social Democratic Party (PSD), heir to Romania’s pre-1989 nomenklatura, is the country’s most corrupt political organisation. The far-right AUR, with which the PSD aligned to topple the pro-EU government, are effectively its clown-puppets - so this isn’t two parties, but a single political cartel.

There are many factors: financial and energy crises, pandemic, budget deficits. The fact that the corrupt governments failed to handle those doesn't mean it's the EUs fault.

It's largely thanks to the EU that the country enjoys its current economic position, which despite the current problems and decades of corrupt politicians in power, is still night and day compared to the state it was in before.
