Since RE:3, the Resident Evil game timers pause and don't count the time for: -Cutscenes -Reading notes -Checking your map -In your inventory -Shopping/Upgrading -Dying & Reloading (will load the timer from where you reload) All that is cut off the in-game timer at the end
