@AdamZivo @RobynUrback It’s so hilarious when no one can understand that if the police/RCMP have 12 that have been caught, it is likely far more that have not been caught. Same as every crime. Especially with a group that covers for their own regularity and is proud of protecting eachother from the law

I usually agree with @RobynUrback's analysis, but I don't think the numbers back up her argument here. Toronto Police Service employs around 5,000 officers, so 12 arrests represent 0.24%~ of that population. Of course, this is for only the first five months of 2026, so, if trends hold, we can *very roughly* extrapolate to 30~ arrests for the year – or 0.6%~ of the officer population. In contrast, around 1.6-1.7% of all Canadians are arrested per year. Ergo, police officers seem to be arrested at less than half the rate of the general population. If we assume arrests are a proxy for criminality (a contentious assumption, but my analysis here is very back-of-the-napkin), then it doesn't seem that police crime is a particularly huge issue. Of course, one could still argue that the officer crime/arrest rate should be much lower given the special role police play in society (that's totally valid), but I still think this piece overstates the scale of the problem.

Saying “disgust” is putting it lightly. Retired RCMP veterans were invited under the guise of being honoured for their service, told to wear their Red Serge, led to believe they were attending a recognition event, then ambushed in a taxpayer-funded political stunt designed to mock and shame them on camera. These are men and women who served this country, many carrying trauma from that service, and somehow CBC-backed producers thought humiliating them for entertainment was acceptable. Canadians want REAL ANSWERS about who approved this production, where the funding came from, and why nobody stepped in before it got this far.

@StamatakisCPA It’s funny you say it is that high of statistic and yet are you accounting for all the ones where civilians are too afraid to report it? Or even just the cops failing to adhere to the same basic laws they go around ticketing/arresting others for? Corruption runs deep in the RCMP

This is utterly disgraceful. Retired RCMP officers were lured by the CBC to what they believed was a legitimate ceremony — only to be publicly humiliated while dozens of cameras rolled. These are men and women who dedicated their lives to serving Canadians and protecting our communities. To use taxpayer money to ridicule them is absolutely shameful. Canadians deserve answers from the CBC for this shocking abuse of public trust.

@LynnNichol5797 @mack4change That is their job they are paid to do but fail to enforce the same laws on themselves. Legally if I take action into my own hands I am the one at fault. So I am required by law to phone them if there is that kind of need. You point is invalid.

CBC Entertainment used your tax dollars to humiliate RCMP officers. They hired a fake production company, flew retired and serving RCMP officers across the country, put them up in hotels, told them Prince William was coming to honour their service. What those officers walked into was a staged ambush. A fake video of King Charles announcing the RCMP would be dissolved played in front of them while cameras rolled. One veteran said the production deliberately targeted officers with mental health struggles. The National Police Federation is now demanding a federal inquiry, calling it exactly what it is: Canadian taxpayers funding the deception and public shaming of the people who spent their careers keeping this country safe. Who approved this? Who signed the cheques? And why is anyone still waiting for answers?

The passenger’s claims are blatantly FALSE. Sunny Naqvi, arrived at O’Hare at 10:21 a.m. on March 5, 2026.  CBP officers referred her to Secondary, for additional inspection based on law enforcement checks and conducted a baggage exam. Ms. Naqvi departed CBP within 90 minutes of her arrival to the United States. Ms. Naqvi was not taken into custody or transferred to ICE for detention.

Everyone needs to know the extent of what the U.S did. An unarmed Iranian ship invited to a joint Indian naval exercise paraded its sailors before the president alongside other participants, including the U.S. At the last minute, the U.S. withdrew from the exercise and torpedoed the Iranian vessel, then reportedly refused to rescue the survivors, leaving the Sri Lankan Navy to recover bodies from the water.

This individual was arrested by local police. This individual accepted a courtesy ride from Border Patrol to this location, a ride that did not have to be provided.    Would the Washington Post have rather us force him to find transportation from the station after his arrest by local police?    This individual tragically died almost a week after this courtesy ride. It is ridiculous to blame Border Patrol for an individual’s death a week after their last interaction with them.

Here are the FACTS. On February 19, 2026, Buffalo Police Department alerted Border Patrol about a non-citizen in their custody. Our agents confirmed that Mr. Shah Alam entered the United States as a refugee on December 24, 2024, and was not amenable to removal. Border Patrol agents offered him a courtesy ride, which he chose to accept to a coffee shop, determined to be a warm, safe location near his last known address, rather than be released directly from the Border Patrol station. He showed no signs of distress, mobility issues, or disabilities requiring special assistance.

WINDSOR POLICE NEWS RELEASE Case #: 26-15233 Attempted murder suspect arrested again for bail violation A 39-year-old man charged with attempted murder has been arrested for violating his bail conditions for the second time in approximately 10 months. On February 6, 2025, Damian Richards was arrested in connection with a targeted shooting that occurred the previous week near the intersection of Partington Avenue and Algonquin Street. He was granted bail on multiple charges, including attempted murder, pointing a firearm, and possession of a prohibited firearm without a licence. Two months later, Richards was arrested after bail compliance officers determined he had violated the conditions of his release order. In October, he was released again under strict house arrest conditions. During routine monitoring, officers learned that Richards had once again violated his court-ordered conditions on six occasions between January 30 and February 13, 2026. Shortly before 2 p.m. on February 13, bail compliance officers, with assistance from the Emergency Services Unit, located and arrested Richards in the 1500 block of University Avenue West. He has been charged with six counts of failing to comply with a release order. Richards’ surety, 59-year-old David Davies, who was with him at the time, was also arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of a release order. A surety is an individual who agrees to supervise an accused while they are out on bail and ensure they comply with their release conditions. The bail compliance officers are part of the Offender Management Unit, a partnership between the Windsor and LaSalle Police Services launched in March 2024. This unit supervises high-risk individuals placed under house arrest, curfew, or electronic monitoring and ensures that those who violate their judicial release orders are held accountable. The Offender Management Unit is funded by a grant from the Government of Ontario as part of the province’s strategy to strengthen Ontario’s bail system. The Windsor Police Service encourages anyone with information regarding individuals who are not complying with their release conditions to contact us at 519-255-6700. To report anonymously, please contact Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or visit catchcrooks.com.

The subject ATTEMPTED to ESCAPE custody. On January 8, 2026, @ICEgov conducted a targeted enforcement operation to arrest Alberto Castaneda-Mondragon, a 31-year-old illegal alien from Mexico who overstayed his visa. While in handcuffs, Castaneda attempted to ESCAPE custody and ran toward a main highway. While running, Castaneda fell and hit his head against a concrete wall. Once officers regained custody Castaneda, they called for an ambulance to examine the illegal alien. Castaneda DECLINED medical services and stated he was uninjured. Officers notified the medical team at the processing facility about the incident, and Castaneda was then admitted to the Hennepin County Medical Center for his head injury. Resisting officers and evading arrest is dangerous for our officers, illegal aliens, and the public — it is also a felony and a federal crime. Sanctuary politicians need to stop encouraging this dangerous behavior that puts our officers and the public at risk.
