These are not victims anymore, they are now mere witnesses. They were compensated. You don’t cash Epstein’s checks, live off the perks, and then rewrite yourself as a powerless victim when the spotlight turns. That’s transactional. And in any other context, we’d call it what it is: high-end prostitution with retroactive guilt.
English

BREAKING: 24 Epstein Victims Just sent this letter to Congress.
Only a sick person would try and cover these files up:
"Dear Esteemed Members of the Senate and the House of Representatives,
We write to you as the family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, and as fellow survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their co-conspirators. You have the ability to vote to release the Epstein files, and with it, deliver a promise the American people have awaited for far too long. We implore you to do so.
Several weeks ago, when a few brave survivors stood before you and recounted their harrowing stories, many of you were shaken to your core. We urge you, when you cast your vote, please do not forget the horror you felt that day.
There is no middle ground here. There is no hiding behind party affiliation. The testimonies you heard are just a fraction of the unimaginable suffering endured by more than a thousand victims alike.
Epstein and Maxwell’s crimes exposed a double standard of justice, where rich and powerful men and women evade repercussions. Despite years of work to bring them to justice, most of Epstein and Maxwell’s co-conspirators remain completely free, continuing to amass power and prestige, living without apparent shame.
As you gather with your family this season, remember that your primary duty is to your constituents. Look into the eyes of your children, your sisters, your mothers, and your aunts. Imagine if they had been preyed upon. Imagine if you yourself were a survivor. What would you want for them? What would you want for yourself? When you vote, we will remember your decision at the ballot box.
This last April, we lost our sister Virginia, a true American hero and a beacon of strength to survivors everywhere. Her resilience in the face of immense adversity—the threats to her life, financial ruin, and public shaming—inspired us all. Her courage brought this case to a monumental turning point, and her testimony exposed the lurid secrets of a global sex trafficking network. In doing so, she brought down a prince, and paved the way for us to come forward and fight. Virginia was failed over and over by the systems that consistently believed and supported her abusers over her. Today, we urge you not to fail another survivor and deny them justice any longer.
Embody Virginia’s courage. Be brave and stand for her, in her absence. Vote YES on the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Vote for justice, accountability, and the truth.
With gratitude, respect, and resilience, from survivors and the family and friends who love them."

@ThePLDad @henrywinter How do you know what assurances have been given to Isak? You have no idea beyond here-say. And no matter what grievances he has, the fact of the matter is his behaviour is completely disgraceful for a player only halfway through a contract he chose to sign.
English

Respect is a two way street, Henry.
His grievances don’t appear to be with Howe, his teammates or the fans and that is an important distinction to make.
Instead, his ire is directed at a leadership team behind the scenes at NUFC who have given the player assurances that they have failed to deliver upon.
Isak informed the club of his desire to leave 12 months ago and, in spite of that, went on to play his part in helping Newcastle reach the Champions League & win their first trophy in circa 70 years.
Both player & club have benefited from this relationship. But it’s no longer mutual. Newcastle were served notice 12 months ago and, whether through failure to prepare or wilful ignorance, they’ve been unable to secure a suitable replacement.
It’s now in Newcastle’s interest to end this saga quickly. Deep down, Howe doesn’t want Isak at the club on September 1st.
English

However the Alexander Isak saga eventually concludes, let’s hope that at some point the player has the good grace to acknowledge the debt he owes Eddie Howe for helping his development into one of the best players in the world and also apologises for causing such chaos.
It’s one thing a player wanting to leave – ambition, short career, levels, finance whatever – but it’s the aggressive way that Isak tries to force his way out - midway through a six-year contract - that also causes such anger on Tyneside. In the middle of this maelstrom, Howe shows commendable calm and patience.
Newcastle’s head coach is being strong, demanding standards of behaviour, yet diplomatically leaving the dressing-room door open in case Liverpool don’t make an acceptable offer (£130m+) and Isak does stay.
Howe deserves huge respect for the dignified, intelligent way he’s handling a damaging distraction. He's trying to prepare his team for what should be an exciting season not knowing who will form his attack, and currently fielding a wide player in Anthony Gordon centrally. He’s dealing with a troublesome transfer window without a sporting director or chief executive.
He’s going into press conferences knowing they will be dominated by questions about a striking striker. In the modern media, and social media, age, Howe has to choose every word carefully, knowing they will be scrutinised forensically and emotionally. He has to pick the right words to send the right message to Isak, to the other players, to potential signings, and to the Newcastle faithful outraged by Isak’s behaviour. Newcastle’s board are fortunate they have such an impressive figure fronting up for them and the club.
Howe also deserves more respect and gratitude from Isak. Since joining in 2022, Isak’s improvement from a very good £63m 22-year-old into an elite performer worth £130m+ is obviously largely down to his own ability and inner drive but Howe deserves huge credit. He makes good players even better.
His coaching, man-management and building a system to bring the best out of Isak helped turn the Swede into a player coveted by Liverpool. Let’s hope Isak respects that one day. #NUFC

@darrengrimes Brilliant news! Now, fine them 100% of the profits for defying the government of this country, and use it to help the people of the U.K.
