Few teams are pressing in the Prem anymore. The sort of high intensity press you’re looking for doesn’t exist in a front line of Gakpo, Hugo & Mo. None of them are pressers like Sadio, Nunez, Jota, Bobby, Diaz etc.
Spurs have something like the 3rd most successful presses in the league, they’re nearly in the bottom 3 mate. Top teams are playing over the press now.

With 7-8 players who fans have broadly agreed are either too old / not good enough?
While simultaneously integrating 7 new faces (most of whom are 17-22 - therefore will take longer to adapt) - the most experienced of which have been Injured for most of the season.

Help me understand why the dislike (apart from the fact that winning gets seen often as suspicious in the UK, and that fans from other teams would use any stick available, no matter how flawed, to diminish a win from other clubs)
But don't give me partisan lines, I would like some kind of sociological/psychological explanation (if possible)

And I get it, when you’re that close to something big, everything feels magnified. That tension probably feeds into how people see the football as well.
Arteta has assembled the best squad around and is playing the most effective Football - it’s just not everyone’s cup of tea. Good luck for the rest of the season 🏆

The opposition are setting up not to lose, and in games where they've opened up, we've put on better performances more often than not. A league title this season would be huge for the club and us fans....

Remember this. When Slot does eventually leave, players either indirectly or via reports WILL comment on how the intensity is back in training, that they train more now (again) and <more importantly> enjoy training again.

I think you’re better than sarcasm, mate. Nobody suggested you’re the only one. However, correct me if I’m wrong, you do seem to be suggesting that anyone who believes that sacking manager is not an appropriate solution to Liverpool’s list of issues, is either mistaken or naive (why else for the post immediately after the game, otherwise?).

There are lies, damn lies and statistics.
All this data tells me is that the league has moved on. Spurs being far ahead of us in pressing yet close to relegation indicates that yesterday's press does not work in today's Premier League.
High regains aren't happening as they used to across the leagues because teams are no longer fucking about with the ball in their half. Transitions have become more direct, less passive and far quicker than before.
How you defend in a mid-block is now more important than ever.

Your writing style is very aggressive, I will say that. You seem alot more concerned with winning an argument than convincing or swaying opinion to your side of the argument.
It’s relatively typical of young writers but it’s not always conducive to winning hearts and minds, or even to a productive discussion, to seek to beat your opposition into submission.
Afford people a dignified retreat, mate if you seek a reasonable conversation. If your goal is always to point score, people will be less inclined to find common ground.

And I think it could be argued (certainly if we finish top 4) that Slot has made the best of what we have.
For large parts of the season we’ve had only 1 CF, 2 CBs and no RBs. That’s not on Slot. It’s no surprise we’ve seen fatigue and errors from the players we’ve had available in those positions, too.
We’ve had about 6 different players at RB this season. For other teams, even United, Villa and Chelsea, if a player is out of form, they’ve had the ability to rotate, to rest. That’s not been a luxury Slot has had for large parts of the season.
Mac Allister has genuinely been our worst player this season. Comfortably worse than Salah. Huge drop off, since and including the Community Shield

He still has a set of world class midfielders, a title winning GK/CB pair and a front line that is not as capable as it once was, but is still producing solid output.

Well that’s a relief that we’re in agreement and you’re not expecting us to compete with City or Arsenal.
In that case, 3rd is not only acceptable it’s probably the best we could hope for with this squad.
We’re 3 points off 3rd right now and that could be 1 point tomorrow. So what exactly is your gripe with Slot? Style of play?
To each their own of course, but I’d say it’s both unrealistic and unreasonable to demand both effective Football and attractive Football during a transition?
At times it’s appeared disjointed, dull and chaotic and, to some degree that’s to be expected. I don’t deny he’s made mistakes but the strongest emotion I feel with Slot is sympathy rather than anger.

Slot has not embedded anyone except for Ekitike in my mind, even Kerkez has been dropped for Robbo again recently. Bradley has been a 1st teamer for years.
