@jamesvictorb Ok so what are the Senior pros that agree with you supposed to do if both of you agree that the best interest of the club is that the Manager goes but the DoF who is soon out of contract wants him to stay. What is your action in the interest of “the Club”?

For clarity I think the manager should go, and I have done since November. But that doesn’t mean he deserves senior pros coming out and advocating mutiny against him. That’s just unprofessional and makes a bad situation worse

@shillcock_paul @HenryJackson87 It surprises me just how many fans believe that Salah’s post was motivated by actual concern for the future direction of the club. There’s only one reason that very carefully crafted (and timed) PR statement was released and it wasn’t because he was worried about the club.

@HenryJackson87 I have absolutely no problem saying what he said He’s leaving soon, he could have easily have gone quietly but he‘s trying to help the club he loves avoid sleepwalking into mediocrity for years We keep Slot this summer and a bottom half league position by October is baked in

@ThePLDad Elliott, Nyoni, Salah, Konate, Ramsey an even Wirtz, he has made several backhanded compliments or thrown shade at them in press conferences. You can also add in Quansah from last year. I’m making an assumption on work environment, given it’s not just Salah raising concerns

You’ve made a fair few assumptions there, Chris. He’s called out some players and I’d say a fair few have warranted it but, by and large, he’s defended his players - including Salah who has now twice publicly taken a swipe at him. In what sense has he isolated Salah? What evidence do you have for a toxic working environment? And how have you concluded that Slot is the primary cause of that? “It is far from good enough. It is my responsibility, whether we win or lose” Does that sound like taking accountability to you?

@ThePLDad Manager calling out players, inc junior youth players in the public domain. Manager isolating Salah trying to make him the scapegoat for his own failings. Manager taking zero accountability for team underperformance. Manager creating a toxic working environment. Should I go on?

@Incredulous__ He’s not stuck his neck out. That would imply he’s risking something. He’s risking nothing. He’s done it 100% for personal gain.

If you don't understand the context of Salah's post then you're seriously deluded. It would be easy to keep quiet and leave, but he's stuck his neck out and expressed his dismay and concern for the future. A true legend who loves the club over his legacy. Haters will milk it.

Mo Salah on Arne Slot last season “He doesn’t have an ego. Like ‘OK, I made a mistake, now I’ll try to sort it’. “It’s happened many times, it happens sometimes during the games, sometimes at half-time, sometimes at the end of the game. “He doesn’t have an ego, ‘things are not working well, OK I’ll change it’ and that’s it. “He’s very good tactically,” Salah continued. Salah has also been pleasantly surprised with the 46-year-old’s authority, saying that he prefers to “tell you things to your face.” “He likes confrontation! Which is good, somehow it’s good. Not always, but it’s good!” he laughed. “He tells you things to your face straight away. “I think it’s very important for the players to know what the manager wants and he really explains it really well. “His explanations are black or white, so take it or leave it.” 🤔

I disagree personally mate. Salah has a huge amount to gain from this statement and I believe that’s why he’s made it. He’s got a track record of speaking when it benefits him (as Carra called him out for) and this is another example of that. Salah isn’t most concerned with falling standards. He’s most concerned with the framing that he’s “washed” and his legs have gone. When you’re 34, a free agent in a week and negotiating your next big contract, that narrative makes a huge difference.

@ThePLDad @beth_lindop Mate I agree, Salah in December was wrong, 100%. But this isn’t about him, he’s concerned for the club he loves, what fans have gone through and what will go through if slot remains. Slot is no stranger to hanging players out either, treatment of Ramsey for eg. It’s just a mess.

Do you not think solidarity is required in times like this? Liverpool, in fact any big club, don’t and shouldn’t air their dirty laundry in public. It never helps matters on the pitch. Salah has been a legend on the pitch but his conduct off it here, just as it was after Leeds, is more than questionable.

@beth_lindop Yeah no worries. People can think differently, that’s life but I’m sick of those with in positions like yours taking fans as mugs and lecturing that we all expected a Klopp 2. Salah is simply furious, like the majority of fans, he’s earned the right to speak.

@ThePLDad @BIGBADDERS Add to that there is no one that on the Slot deserves another chance ever wants to talk about his tactics or his faults, always others. Salah has regressed as you do it's very normal for players to age.

@ThePLDad @HenryJackson87 Hahaha. “Preparation for the final game” The coach is in Ibiza and because of that most of the players are in Monaco for 2 nights. Idiots like you have zero idea how much pull Mo has and teams (not in saudi) will be falling over themselves to sign him. It’s selfless you idiot

“If Slot knew how to use him” He had his best season ever under Slot. Broke the record last year. Slot absolutely knows how to use him. Salah has accepted zero accountability for his performances this season and sought to shift the blame on to the manager and the club. We all know why that is.

@BIGBADDERS It is and it isn't he's using as a example having a pop at the coach for taking that identity of being a feared team to whatever we are now. Mo has regressed I don't think anyone can deny that but still could've been very effective if Slot knew how to use him.

Many replying with “nobody ever accused Arne Slot of being too attacking.” When I show clear examples of that happening earlier this season, there’s no response. There are actually legit complaints about Slot this season but most are too busy rewriting history to see them…
Harry McMullen@mcmulhar

Arne Slot was criticised for being too attacking at the start of this season. He ends it being criticised for not being heavy metal enough. If you stop to ask *why* the playstyle is this way currently, you see issues beyond the coach. Most prefer not to ask.
