I refuse to believe El-Rufai has been released. That would be an unprecedented ridicule of the judiciary. He was remanded by the court and can only be released by the court. His bail application was to be argued on Tuesday. Releasing him is an abuse of judicial process.

A person who’s remanded by an order of a court cannot be released legally without recourse to the court. @icpcnigeria, can you clarify the procedure adopted in this case? El-Rufai’s motion for bail is slated for Tuesday, March 31, 2026. How was his release processed? Is this another government magic that the legendary Fela sang about?
