@Fensmarken Yeah yeah, you need to wait until Tuesday to watch crap, I mean, watch more stuff spoil and turn into crap
English

@PandaTVoce I have much more free time and less responsibility now than I did during Legion. WoW was better back then.
English

@EdwinJuengel @jdotb And then you need crafts, enchants, jewels and consumeables.
Also assuming the price is static 50 g. These systens usually costs more pr step. Valorstones did, and valorstones also had different starting prices based on the items. Rings being among the cheapest.
But why have it!?
English

@Fensmarken @jdotb A current wow token gets you 6,379 upgrades. You could upgrade every single slot on nearly 60 characters with that.
English

if you are mad about this like literally just send me an invoice in the mail everytime you get an upgrade and I will pay for it, pls don't fuck this up by crying about it jesus christ
Wowhead💙@Wowhead
Upgrading Gear on the Midnight Beta now costs gold in addition to crests. #Midnight #Warcraft wowhead.com/news/upgrading…
English

@Owlizabeth @jdotb Does it increase players mandatory expenses to play the game?
Why do that?
You dont know the final price - Valorstones increased each level and initial price varied.
The cost of crafts, enchants and consumeables didn't go away. Gold making is now a mandatory chore, or pay to skip
English

@Fensmarken @jdotb Okay well it's so effective that you can easily make enough to upgrade an entire mythic set every single day so they're doing a pretty shit job at it
English

@fNitrox @decayx777 @jdotb You think 450.000+ gold pr season on top of craft, enchants, jewels and consumeables would not come close to requiring tokens? +You upgrade more than 1 set of gear pr. season.
However insignificant you believe it to be: Why have it? Does the gold cost make it better or worse?
English

@Fensmarken @decayx777 @jdotb dude even if it doubled for each upgrade it would only be like 16k for your entire gear set. that's like 2 world quest, people need to go outside and stop whining for everything. even if the costs were like 100x it would not come close to being something that requires tokens.
English

@decayx777 @jdotb No as in going from 5-6 is more expensive than going from 1-2. You know like with valorstones?
You didn't answer: What is the purpose if not to sink gold? What is it if not a gold sink?
And its not just 10k gold pr. season - its 10k MORE pr. season. You think its good?
English

@Fensmarken @jdotb 10k is nothing, does valorstones upgrades increased in seasons? why should gold then
English

@BagelBackpack @jdotb If I am so wrong, that there is "something wrong with me" can you explain to me why the gold cost is there if it is not simply to drain gold from players? And how that doesn't allign with the economic incentive Blizzard has to sell more tokens?
English

@Fensmarken @jdotb Wow, so for 5k gold per patch? Less than the cost of a crafted weapon? 2-3 paragon caches per season? Zero chance anyone is buying a wow token to pay for this, it would be like buying a car to drive to your mailbox
English

@decayx777 @jdotb What purpose does it serve if not to sink gold? Why is it there?
4.5k if all steps are 50g. And lets not forget youll upgrade a bunch of hero track aswell and stat upgrades. You're closing in on 10k pr season.
Not to mention these systems usually have a ramping cost - so enjoy.
English

@Fensmarken @jdotb XD upgrading WHOLE gear for no more that 4k is gold sink?
English

@HalfLivedLife @nkinch75 @andyantiles_ @grok Yea bathroom at 4am reading comprehension strikes hard, so didn't notice. The 62k sticks out a bit to me. Quick google: Median household is 83k, and median income for a single person household is 42k. Im guessing grok looking only at full time salaries excludes a lot of people.
English

@Fensmarken @nkinch75 @andyantiles_ @grok median was 62k. the number who make a fortune are both few in number (like 0.1% or lower), plus many 'ultra rich' don't make much in salary, instead making it up in perks/bonuses/stock options. Like elon's salary is low, but his 'trillion dollar package' is 400M+ shares
