@ErinInTheMorn I see it too. These are protective measures, and there is humanity in that. There is also humanity in our legacy of resistance and strength to draw upon from our elders and ancestors who have shown us the path forward— together we are strong.

The idea that Trump won and therefore we should roll over to all of his worst impulses and not resist anything that I am seeing among some Dems is exactly how Germany got to camps and how fascists around the world rise to power. It’s surreal to see.

I understand that Americans are freaking out and many are thinking about moving out of the States and I would genuinely recommend they do not do that. Fascism is on the rise literally everywhere, esp in Europe. You will not be saved by just moving away.
