This past week, our player members gathered at the annual Board of Player Representatives meeting, where they collaborated as leaders and advanced the mission of our union. With the election of JC Tretter as executive director of the NFLPA, we’re building on 70 years of gains and moving forward in solidarity.

Another NFL retirement:

Performance pays. 💰 NFL players earned $542M+ in Performance-Based Pay for the 2025 season — a collectively bargained benefit negotiated by our union that rewards player members for the snaps they play and impact they make. For the first time ever, the top 25 payouts all topped $1M, with CB Nahshon Wright leading the way at $1.44M — more than doubling his salary. Since the program’s inception in 2002, nearly $3.3B has been paid to players.

NFL players will receive more than $542 million in Performance-Based Pay for their performance during the 2025 season. The Performance-Based Pay program is a collectively bargained benefit that compensates all players based upon their playing time and salary levels. Top 25 here
