Because they aren’t going to win in the next 3 years- and by then Trey will ask out. This really isnt hard to understand. Go look at Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday. When you realize your roster can’t compete, you start looking towards the future.

People like this don’t understand that the Pelicans are not ever players in the FA market. They have 0 cap flexibility and aren’t a destination. The last impactful FA signing was Rajon Rondo.
