I'm wallowing and I know I'm not talking about much else because of it but, even though Henry was the love of my life, he did so much for so many other people When I was still working at the clinic, he came to work with me every day. On the few occasions where he stayed home because I had to prioritize someone else, it was weird. There were so many people he brought comfort and joy to Our receptionists would steal him away from his kennel to have Henry time at the front desk Clients who came to know him would ask to see him when they came in for appointments A young girl barely knee high to a grasshopper absolutely in tears over having to say goodbye to her best friend, he just sat with her and made it even just a little bit easier for her and her mom I would go to check on him after finishing a task and ask "Where's Henry?" "oh he's with so and so" and there he would be, napping in someone's arms or next to them in one of his round beds And it was always fine, so many people needed him just as much as I did. He brought so much peace and love just simply by existing. Everyone who met him fell in love because he was perfect, just by being Henry, and I think a lot of people saw themselves within him.
