RESTORATION OF FHA ESTATES, MD/CEO HON. OYETUNDE OJO FLAGS OFF THE COMMISSIONING OF THE RECONSTRUCTED FESTAC 1ST GATE AND SOLAR STREET LIGHTS. The Management of Federal Housing Authority has flagged off the rehabilitation of its estates across the country in line with the Renewed Hope Mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. FHA is bridging security gaps and enhancing development, beginning with its estate, FESTAC.  The works include the installation of solar powered streetlights, rehabilitation of FESTAC main gate, and resurfacing of roads, all aimed at improving security of lives and property, boosting trade and commerce, and easing the daily commute for residents.  Management  will also shift focus to the 2nd and 3rd gates to completely ensure the security of the estate, which is a national monument.

Amuwo-Odofin's local government chairmanship and councilorship election was a disaster. What a rigged election. The rigging was so bad in Festac Town that you didn't even need to present your voters card to vote, one person could vote more than once, LASIEC was compromised. Shame

I have been to both. The trick I use is: it’s 2 if there is a Festac close-by and 12 if you see baskets of tomatoes around.

Mile 2 - located in Amuwo Odofin LGA. Leads you to Okokomaiko - Badagry - Seme Border. If you know FESTAC you will know Mile 2. Mile 12 - located in Kosofe LGA. houses the biggest food market in Lagos. Immediately after Ketu and leads you to Ikorodu.
