We had a guy at work who vanished every day at 3pm.
Laptop shut. Gone. No explanation.
He’d reappear at 4:30 like nothing happened.
This went on for six months.
We figured it had to be something serious—maybe medical. Nobody asked.
But things started slipping. Deadlines missed. He even skipped two client calls once.
Finally, the boss pulled him aside:
“Where are you going every day?”
“Handling something personal.”
“On company time?”
He looked at the clock and said:
“It’s 3pm.”

@julianblacks_ That’s the part people don’t talk about enough. Employees were literally training the systems that may end up replacing parts of their own jobs. Tough situation for a lot of talented people.

My doctor was always 45 mins late, every visit.
No apology it’s just "Take a seat."
Last time I waited 1 hour 20 mins then I left.
Then wrote a google review. I wasn’t mean but just honest: "Always late, brings a book."2 stars.
He called me that night from his personal cell.
"You think I'm late because I don't respect your time?"
I said "...yes?"
