@AlienXotic @cilerba God forbid a fan makes a fan project for free and tells anyone about it. Pokemon can be about transferring, but that doesn’t mean every fan project has to be. Let cool projects be cool projects.
English

you guys gotta stop being annoying about only viewing an ACE or e-Reader project as valuable if it has HOME compatibility. play your original games. they’re wonderful. I promise you do not need to transfer that shiny e-Reader Jirachi up to HOME. it’s ok to leave it in Ruby
Max@cilerba
Pokémon HOME was a mistake
English

@Hayami_Rose @cilerba People like you just don’t understand that you aren’t entitled to these mods that Max is creating and releasing for FREE. If you don’t like that the Pokemon aren’t legal then DONT USE THEM. You aren’t owed Max’s labor
English

@cilerba People like you just don't understand. For many of us it's not just a game or a franchise. It's memories and experiences. I'll use me for example I play a lot of go so using pokemon I ACTUALLY went out in the cold to get hits different. Home let's me do that
English

@Derbearian Every button press matters but its complicated to explain exactly why. Each button press before the Charizard/Venusaur cry will effect the starting RNG state. Then from that point until you press Yes effects how far into the RNG chain you go. For a clone, both have to be the same
English

@FexCollects I think I'm gonna make a new save each 100 for the other 2 starters.
I'm currently at 14.5 srs.
So spamming buttons quickly at the loading screen doesn't affect anything? I'm trying to learn this so I can pass this onto my community. I'm still kinda confused by all this.
English

@Derbearian Nah you are fine just randomize your A/B mashing a bit and you’ll be okay. If you want to be extra safe, create a new save every few hundred encounters to get a new TID
English

@FexCollects Oh so don't just spam A And B? I've been button mashing and I'm at 14.3k srs 🤣 Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong
English

@Arepower1 papa jefe and imablisy are both good resources on how FRLG RNG works. Their videos would be a good jumping off point
English

@FexCollects Understandable. Are there any videos explaining this button pressing factor in detail that you know of? Id love to investigate this further and thank you in advance.
English

@Derbearian It does generate when you select yes. If you consistently pick yes at different times then you’ll be fine
English

@FexCollects So does the shiny still not generate when you press yes when asked to pick a Starter?
I thought that's the only thing that mattered...
English

@Arepower1 Emeralds RNG is broken yes, but that was unintentional
FRLG’s RNG is working exactly as designed but because the cartridge didn’t have a battery GF needed some other source of initial randomness. Your button presses are that initial source
English

@LampsonMcStand I read that as well, but the RNG is based on a hardware timer. Since FRLG is running in an emulator you can’t assume anything about the hardware and instead have to trust the data
English

@FexCollects Wait I thought SRing doesn’t properly clear the rng on FRLG
English

@eightbitcrit If you are talking about the vod, I started checking stats later on and the data included in the chart is only from Pokemon I checked the stats on, but I’m not going to stop you if you want to turbo hunt
English

@FexCollects This is not correct you didn't check to see if the stats were also the same during your test
English

@FexCollects Is this how the originals behave too?
English

@FexCollects I'm assuming you could easily account for this with randomised delay though right?
English

@AquaSeaWing @Kwikpanik honey catches more flies than vinegar.
The insideGadgets shop sells a flex PCB mod that is installed in each console that listens for a wireless signal. They also sell a transmitter that captures your button presses from an gba/ds and then sends them wirelessly to each game.
English

@MegaHorrorLP @RexProfessor Interesting! I’ve never seen that before. Good news is that maybe the save is recoverable. The only one is pretty much a guarantee the save file is gone
English

@FexCollects @RexProfessor No, screen and music freezes and repeats the last note it played when pressing A on the savegame. I have to terminate the game on newer consoles or shut down the console on older systems to exit it.
English

@RexProfessor @MegaHorrorLP When you say is crashes, what do you mean? Does it show a blue screen with an error message or does like the console shut off?
English

@MegaHorrorLP @FexCollects might be the next best bet after that
English

@AquaSeaWing @Kwikpanik Each one is controller modded so they can be controlled with a single controller
English

@famousliriano @Kwikpanik insideGadgets flex PCB controller mod + the Bluetooth controller adapter for best range
English

@Kwikpanik How are you controlling all of these @Kwikpanik are you using a gadget widget ribbon flex? Or something else?
English

@SleepykyuSH @metalgearjelly @Kwikpanik I run them all without batteries, but not all of them have a batteryless mod!
Behind the scenes there are 4, 20 port USB Power hubs. Then each DS has a usb charger plugged in
Total power draw is ~95 watts
English

@metalgearjelly @Kwikpanik they all have batteryless mods in them iirc
