OMG XD on Switch 2 supports suspend points?!?!?! Gotta do some trial and error to see which hunts get major timesaves from this. Yeah I'm gonna hunt a shiny. (If you ask "why" to that, shinies are cool no matter the circumstances and finding them is neat)

@NiterZ7 Yeah! I think it's really cool. It's not how I prefer to arrive at a shiny, but I have so much respect for the RNG community/how they understand the game/how much skill it can take

@LoulouFoxgirl Yeah, I'd say it's a big side effect of the gamecube adapters being made with Smash specifically in mind rather than general Gamecube compatibility

@TheAbsol wish the gc to gba cable would work on modern hardware at least, maybe one day someone will build one that convert the signal in something readable over standard usb connections

@xseacreature Perhaps that's a good idea, but you might not have to even do a full proper reset! You could just wait a little bit or do a few actions, and then create a new one

@TheAbsol you think you might need to do a proper reset and make a new suspend point every once and a while, kinda like Emerald starter resets where you need to make a new save?

OMG WAIT the Mt. Battle Johto starters are gonna be SO EASY to shiny hunt with Suspend Points. completely bypasses having to go through that battle every reset. Just stagger the timing of receiving the starter!!!

@Utano30 No doubt that's the biggest timesave in the game. Every hunt benefits tho from loading the suspend point being faster than a regular SR

@Aiden3210162362 It does, but non-shadow Pokemon (Eevee, pokespot wild pokemon, Duking trades, Mt Battle starters) can be shiny in this one

on starter Eevee/Salamence, there's not a ton of time save as you'll still have to watch the cutscene every time. Just lets you not have to type in your full name every time. Also, if you use suspend points for hunting, keep timing/entropy in mind bc RNG clones will be likely

Since nothing transfers out anyway, consider hunting a Battle CD Shiny!!! Resets are insanely fast and there are GNARLY targets like these on Battle CD 48
