@FezzaSAFC @SleevesElliott @JamTarts I think the refereeing standard in Scotland is beyond parody levels of poor. But if you genuinely think a refereeing duo of John Beaton and Andrew Dallas has a pro-Celtic bias then god help us all.

It’s all to play for still for @JamTarts & of course I’m biased towards a former club who I hold great affection for and would love to see win the league, but if you think that was a pen then you’re either a Celtic fan (who I get will say it’s a pen, tongue in cheek) or nuts 🤦🏻♂️🤯

@LiamMosson @SleevesElliott @JamTarts I agree Beaton maybe has to give it once he’s called over but VAR shouldn’t have even intervened.
You can’t deny you’ve had the rub of the green with dubious decisions these last few games. Things always seem to lean your way, at least now the world is seeing it for what it is.

A “clear and obvious error” is vague terminology which has been criticised by refereeing unions universally for the ironic lack of clarity over what is/can be deemed clear and obvious.
Think this still (and the slow-mo video) clearly show it hits his hand.
You can maybe… make the argument the in-field decision shouldn’t have been questioned in the first place, but no referee can see that replay and then not give a penalty.

@SleevesElliott @JamTarts Nothing tongue in cheek when I say the ball very clearly hit his hand, which was not in a natural position.
I understand that everyone outwith Celtic wants Hearts to win the league, but that doesn’t mean we can just ignore the hand ball rule.

Seriously that is never a handball at Fir Park. The boy headed it 20 yards. The ref takes one look after VAR calls him over. Embarrassing for Scottish football.

I’m puzzled by why only one angle of it was shown and why the referee has so quickly given that after what looks like a single viewing of the incident. It may well have hit his hand but it feels like a quick turnaround for a decision of that magnitude.
