Why are brtish people such tramps? I'm at my fave lake having a wonderful time, and its busy with families and groups of mates So many of them are leaving litter everywhere, food wrappers, beer cans, plastic wrapping etc Is it really so difficult to clean up after yourself?

I was young in the 80s/90s in the UK. I don’t remember my parents ever going out to eat, except when we were on holiday (in the UK). I don’t think they ever took me to a fast food restaurant, or ordered takeaway food. People today have no clue how working people lived. /1

@BpdLion I grew up in a reasonably comfortable working class family, my parents rarely went out to eat when we were kids, even rarer they took us to a restaurant, going to McDonald’s was seen as a big treat. Hardly “Oliver Twist”, just reality 🤷🏻‍♂️

A lovely day out in London. I didn't get stabbed. I still have my phone. Nobody tried to radicalise me. The only downside were the rowdy, drunken football guys on the train. But they were harmless and quite polite, just loud. Sadiq Khan's London is a lovely place. 😃

What’s the point in a ‘national’ football team if someone who is NOT from that nation can join? Maguire should play for England. Guéh should play for Ivory Coast. Common sense. I’m sure Maguire isn’t even allowed to contest this decision because, as his shirt says in the photo below, ‘no room for racism’.

The step regression of the UK's underclass is just so depressing. I am 51 and as a football obsessed kid in the late 70s, 80s and 90s, I witnessed a clear reduction in the racist bullshit in football. Genuine, serious progression. Now, I'm not naive enough to think that the racists went away or changed their views, but it became an unacceptable trait within the game and things changed so much for the better. Now, in 2026, with the rise of Reform UK and Ruprecht's Restore, we see these vile characters, openly espousing racism again. Taking pride in their bigotry. ☹️ Where did we go so wrong, as a nation?
