This series story is actually very simple so im always curious why people think it has no story but then I remember they dont have characters explain everything constantly

Man. It is almost like Dante actually has a backbone and knows when it is time to nut up or shut up, even against his own brother. Also not having random PTSD episodes at the mention of his name.

The reason I get fairly defensive and angry about Kiseki stuff, is Falcom is one of the few remaining devs making uniquely Japanese media outside tiny indie studios. I’ve seen a tonne of series I really enjoy either be cancelled completely over the years as the west deem them problematic or watered down “for an international audience”. It’s why I accept the series for what it is even if I occasionally might not like every aspect either , because I want it to maintain its creative integrity. With Sky Remake doing so well in the West that’s great news for Falcom and I’m happy for them, but it also brings in plenty of people who play Japanese games but hate what makes them Japanese. Which is why I get defensive. You don’t need to like every aspect of something to be a fan , that would be dumb, but it’s the desire to call out things deemed “problematic” I find so frustrating as it’s posts like these and campaigns like these which have ruined so many Japanese series.

So much of Nero's backstory being hidden in the dmc4 novel and not the game itself has caused irreparable damage to the lore. Not once did Dante suspect Nero to be his kid because *the circumstances surrounding him just didn't add up to such a scenario*
