I'm frustrated that everyone is overfocusing on whether high schoolers should know the words "silhouette" and "gauche." if you actually watch the video, the alarming thing is that the kids are so stressed out at the sight of an unfamiliar word and don't even try to sound it out

@catturd2 Over 25 years ago I was on a train ( The Crescent ). Going from New jersey to New Orleans. I met a South African who was going to Major Cities to see how they were. As he was wanting to move his family here to the States. Sure hope he moved and made a good life.

@tanpukunokami A lot of people do eat that but my family does not. My family came to the US via Soviet Union so no marshmallow meals. About 40 million people in the US are Slavic so I would think those are not doing it either.
