My problem with UI teams is that after a certain point the changes aren't improvements so much as shuffling shit around just to show theyve done something.
What is the end game for UIs, when is it good enough?

The new YouTube embed player replaces the "Play/Pause" button with a "Share" button so everyone accidentally clicks it and the UI team at Google can lie to their higher-ups about "Our new UI has increased share button engagement by 10,000,000%!". Fucking pathetic.

@GwenpostingTTV Its TTK combined with movement speed, TF2's max TTK with the Car is ~.15s for a fast af game.
Other games with fast TTK dont work as well because movement wasnt designed to accomodate for the speed, like CoD Cold War, which also had blazing fast TTKs but felt horrible

What a lot of people miss from Titanfall 2 is a time when FPS games were understood as war games. The TTK against pilots in this game was very quick. Quick burst and move on. It made the movement feel knife edge and rewarding. Then Apex came out and made it slow and clunky.

It's been about a decade and still nobody has made a multiplayer shooter that's a fraction as electric or emphatic as Titanfall, where moments like this are a dime a dozen.
