Looks like tomorrow my disabled mum, my dad who’s still getting treatment for cancer and my disabled ass are going to have to try and dig out dads car in hopes we can get to a shop to get some essentials. Mum and I have put messages on the local group, both been ignored.

Today @wesstreeting told BBC Breakfast "it is definitely a weekend to turn the heating on". Has he forgotten that @UKLabour axed our winter fuel payment?! The current amber cold weather alert means there is "a risk of a rise in deaths". Labour is killing pensioners!

@PeterStefanovi2 Many local areas (at least, in the north of Scotland) have sharing sheds. Unlike Food Banks, you don't need a referral. They are open to anyone and funded by donation, and supermarkets provide overstock/ close to expiration products. Users are not included in official figures.

@ncbrit8 @ProfKarolSikora My neighbours both smoked heavily when he was diagnosed with lung cancer in his 60s & given only months to live. They both continued to smoke until he died. At the wake, she put out her cigarette and said she was now a non-smoker. She lived to her 90s, never touching another.

@ProfKarolSikora It also never ceases to amaze me when I hear oncologists badgering people with stage IV lung cancer to give up smoking, or any intervention that will not alter outcome come to that.

Honestly, if a terminally ill patient wants to go outside the hospital and have a cigarette - I'm not going to report them. I hope they enjoy it.

@snowball1926 As a 54 year old, I am proof you are incorrect. My biological mother got pregnant at 16 to a 17 year old. They were not married. I am proof they had sex. They had me adopted and then went on to marry different people. More than once. 🤷‍♀️
