Il me semble que c'est blanc comme neige que Laine fait partie de la décision de ne pas jouer. Sinon, une plainte à la NHLPA aurait été faite. Sa blessure n'est pas physique. Il l'a dit qu'il a un trouble anxieux. Malgré la lune de miel, MTL n'est pas un marché propice pour ça.

@CMartin387 I'd argue that talking about it will help from a marketing standpoint. Salaries and roster management based on them are discourses that take up a lot of space in men's leagues. I like to follow the team building aspect of the game. And it'll bring light to the inequality.

@mndamico @ivandemigoal I'd argue that a big part of tanking is selling. They got so much assets for selling that they had the means to acquire what they wanted. And give extras other teams couldn't when necessary, without emptying the cupboards (eg 2nd picks for Zharovsky and Hage they got in trades)

@mndamico @ivandemigoal Of course, they could've given a 2027 2nd for advancing to get Zharovsky. But they had one in the bank for the Petry/Desmith trade. Same for Hage and the Lehkonen trade. 2nd for Hutson from the Kulak trade. If you don't sell, you're short a couple 2nds to get all those pieces.
