Regarding an abrupt closing of Foundation, we have pinned 90 pieces by friends in the community as well as ArtGumi exhibition participated pieces both on @Filebase and on ArtGumi's Raspberry Pi IPFS node 🫡✨ We believe in watching out for each other in the time like this✨

@seanbonner weird. and just to confirm, you're using the JWT key right? and i'm working on expanding to other providers atm. filebase has a generous free tier, and seems like they support pinning by CID, unlike pinata.

Hi friend none of the art will be lost. @jalilwahdat and his team preserved everything, others also set up nodes to pin everything as well. You are also able to back up your own nfts by following @ErnestCisneros1 guide for how to use filebase. Do you have any unsold art on FDN ?

My early FND pieces on the legacy contracts are now pinned on filebase along with pieces from other chains (AVAX, ARB) The rest are all secure on Arweave. I’ve also noted down everyone who has ever collected my work on a spreadsheet so I don’t risk losing the info 🙏✨

@mpeyfuss Wait until everyone understands IPNS and that we don’t even need to serve our websites through centralized channels anymore and haven’t had to for over a decade.

The fact that it is possible for anyone to build/pin on IPFS is rad as hell. I know people don't love aspects of it, but that's been due to misconceptions around it. IPFS is amazing tech, just needs more education.

@steviepxyz @oblivion_fields Permanent storage isn’t real, don’t fall for the hype. HTML files are supported. Data remains pinned for as long as you like. (Assuming that you pay your bills)

@oblivion_fields @Filebase Filebase it okay, but they don't support IPFS html files, which is really annoying. It's also all short term storage. They don't have anything that claims to be ✨forever✨

Since we're all talking about IPFS, here's my hot take: Pinata is a rip off, and Arweave is probably snake oil. Personally, I'm a fan of lighthouse where $20 (1 month of Pinata) gets you 5gb of filecoin storage (which is about as "forever" and snakeoily as Arweave, but on IPFS)

Lack of Tezos support is the key factor for me migrating from @pinatacloud but I really do like their auto-back up feature and would appreciate @Filebase implementing a similar option for wallets. Both have api, gateway, and website building tools I haven’t dug into yet.
