@YodasMyDad @umbraco I very much agree that the packages from the ecosystem is a big part of what makes Umbraco great. But maybe I'm not understanding what you think the problem is? These two files are all you need to put in your app_plugins folder for this to run.

Hmmm... Requires Lit, which in turn requires NPM, also property editor != package, which most people want/need to do. Then you do need Vite etc.. etc.. anyway, thank you for the example regardless. However, I think it's the bigger picture majority of devs are struggling with, as in making packages and how everything fits together (Including packaging the package). You can try and convince everything with posts like this, but the matter of fact is, right now, it's MUCH more complicated and verbose to attempt to build a package in this new version of Umbraco. Which is a huge shame because (As I've said for years) the packages and plugins are what make the community, and the community is what makes Umbraco (Not what the board/shareholders want to hear). For some reason, you/HQ really have forgotten that 90%+ of the main Umbraco packages, and most used smaller packages are built by individual .Net devs. Packages that even Gold partners will use on each build to speed things up. We are not front end devs, and most don't really want to be. Time would be better spent, targeting such devs and trying to help them with tools, real world examples, proper docs to make it as easy as possible to make stuff rather than trying to tell them, things are much easier now, when, we all know they are not. I could say so much more, but I know it will fall on deaf ears.
