--New argument-- I've been putting pieces of this together for a while to answer Calvinists who reject double predestination. They try to appeal to total depravity and say "God doesn't assign anyone to hell. He just lets them go their natural way. He only actively elects people to salvation." Unfortunately everyone's "natural way" was already fixed in advance by God's decreed timing to bring about the fall of Adam BEFORE Adam would have any descendants. God did not decree Adam to produce any offspring prior to the fall. Therefore He had already doomed humanity before any "election to salvation" even enters the equation. Thus the only TRUE single predestination would be a scenario in which everyone goes to hell. The moment God elects anyone to get saved, double predestination becomes reality.
