The day WWE truly went downhill. On January 27, 2024 Cody Rhodes with another undeserved Royal Rumble match victory. Instead of being a professional and choosing the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, he pointed at then Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Finishing the story was never about Cody’s midcard father failing to become WWE Champion, it was about his own entitlement. This further proves that he needed Roman Reigns and The Bloodline to keep him relevant. He could have added some prestige to the renewed World Heavyweight Championship, but is aware that his name does not hold the value of an actual main eventer.
