@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub I love Destiny 2. I think it's a great game. I want more of it and the more of it to be better. Cause it absolutely has that potential. I never wanted it to die. All I stated was I was at peace if it does, specifically as a result of bad decisions and the whole dev going down.

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub Yeah we get right to the point. Fighting other players. Hella simple and hella fun. Tried and true multiplayer gameplay for first person shooters.

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub But what you keep leaving out is that Bungie has actually been so good to the Marathon community. They’ve been rolling out patches and updates practically every day actually addressing the issues that players are complaining about. It’s so overlooked how responsive they’ve been.

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub I guess I just like more ways to deal with scenarios vs just more scenarios. It's always nice to make that same place feel different just because you're approaching if differently

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub You get depth by actually increasing the number of possible scenarios, not just making players press more buttons per minute just to make them FEEL like the gameplay is somehow deeper instead of just being tedious for literally no reason.

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub Ammo and loot is tedious, but you have to do that to some degree in Destiny as well. Perk uptimes on armor, subclass and weapons, stacks of buffs/debuffs, Audio cues as well. Radar tracking, Enemy locations if PvE, being ready to deal with barriers, overloads, unstops..etc etc.

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub In Marathon you have to manage your health, ammo, loot, hardware and software integrity, and listen carefully because everything has very distinct audio queues. Players could be anywhere and there’s more places to fight. People have different objectives. You can even talk shit

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub and then you can add more layers of depth when that happens. What did they call it back then. APM. Actions per minute. I really like they started bringing that up. Game started almost feeling rhythmic with the actions and movements.

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub Constant never ending engagements with nothing to manage because there’s unlimited sprint, health regenerates passively, and you’re going to die before you use all your ammo is just endless running and shooting and literally nothing else. Eventually it just becomes muscle memory

It's super foolish to think that Marathon will be any different than Destiny when Destiny has been doing nothing differently for 10+ years. I think it would be for the best of all.

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub You think that, but it doesn't work that way. Extraction is slower in buildup by nature. There's a lot of nothing that happens and you end up just menuing around or looking at things to pickup. There's only burst of actual actions and then it's over. That's not enough.

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub A pretty small percentage of the population actually has ADHD. But your brain still has to be way more active to actually compete in an extraction shooter than an arena shooter. That’s just common sense.

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub Destiny doesn't piss me off. It just continually disappoints me. Moving on won't fix it. It will only ensure that it really does die, and yeah some were. Not as much but some wanted the game to die ages ago now. A new target just entered the fray is all and accelerated it.

But literally none of you were calling for Bungie to be shut down until after Marathon launched when the botted hate campaign started.

@redacted6827 @CoolRunnersClub I mean, I am diagnosed with ADHD, as I feel most people are. I just don't wear it like a badge and it's not an excuse. Our brains are significantly more active then an average person's but that also means we tend to be better at tracking like 5+ things at once minimum

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub It’s only fun if you have severe adhd or if tik-tok has cooked your brain so thoroughly that you need endless engagement and a constant never ending dopamine drip just to stay engaged

I think they deserve both to fall with everything that's happened . Even if that means losing the game I love. I'm ok with that outcome.

@FinalRezonance @CoolRunnersClub It can be fun but there was a drastic shift in the overall pace of the gameplay whenever mw2019 dropped its advanced movement mechanics making the game 10x more sweaty because you have to jump slide cancel button combo just to compete and the cod scene never recovered
