I have been arguing this for so long but it seems politically impossible without a lot of vision and much more understanding than most politicians have. It would be a hard sell as so much emphasis has been put on the misleading word ‘insurance’ in the past.

Agree that a nudge is a good thing, but my instinct would be to increase the equity part of the Lifetime ISA rather than cut the cash one. Because, well, the data below gov.uk/government/sta….

@FinanceJames @KallumPickering It's not silly when you've trimmed the pensions allowance so drastically. The point is more of a "nudge" to make people consider investment rather than cash. I'd need to look at the data but I honestly don't think those records are realistically comparable in any case

But do read Ready Player One. A close friend said: “it’s awfully written, but the story is incredible.” Hard agree. It made me wish my commute was longer.
