Welcome back to another bonus point + DEFCON roundup after last night’s OPTA update: 👉🏻Van Hecke gained 1 DC and finished just one short of DEFCON on 9. This would have been enough for bonus, however Minteh received a huge bps bump. 👉🏻Hinshelwood loses his bonus point sadly as a result. Minteh received one of the biggest bps increases I’ve seen from an update! He gained one valuable pass, taking him to the 30 pass threshold at 80% (+4bps). He also gained a big chance created (+3bps). This was very close to taking Minteh up to 2 bonus points after Lewis Dunk was given a third shot off target (-1bps). But sadly Minteh lost a valuable recovery point along the way (-1bps), meaning he misses two bonus by just 1bps. The late Pascal Gross assist only gave him an additional +9bps. He ultimately finished quite a way off bonus. Therefore the final bonus standings are: (3) De Cuyper (2) Dunk (1) Minteh 👉🏻James Hill sadly failed to hit DEFCON 👉🏻Both Senesi and Alex Scott kept their DEFCON The Bournemouth game actually updated in time for FPL with no impactful changes. Truffert notably swept up the bonus with just his clean sheet! Despite missing a big chance (-3bps), he ticked off so many vital bps metrics: • Hit the pass threshold at 87% accuracy (+4bps) • Two shots on target (+4bps) • Two successful tackles (+4bps), • Completed two dribbles, two crosses and created two chances (+6bps total) Along with a couple of DEFCON related bonuses! 👉🏻Sadiki hit DEFCON in the update 👉🏻Alderete and everyone else that hit DEFCON maintained it. Reinildo gained a successful dribble (+1bps) but it was just not quite enough to hit bonus. 👉🏻Therefore, no bonus point changes occurred in the Sunderland game 👉🏻No bonus or DEFCON changes occurred in the Man City game either. Jeremy Doku had a HUGE game in the bps with just one goal! He created 6 chances (+6bps), two big chances (+6bps) and completed 6 successful dribbles (+6bps) amongst a host of other feats! Even if his goal scoring effort was saved and he didn’t score, he’d still be on 2 bonus! 👉🏻The Liverpool game updated in time for FPL and we had no bonus changes. Hato did however gain DEFCON. The Cole Palmer disallowed goal would have been a huge one. If allowed, he would have claimed all 3 bonus points. An 8 point swing! Very lengthy post today so if you’ve read all the way I congratulate you! @nathrover1985 I was the same in feeling a bit uneasy about the part time element but having looked into it, it is exactly the same type of deal to when he took over Stoke and he turned it round quickly for them. I think this is a great appointment now and we as fans should be all behind him

We have to back o Neill , his a solid manager and to be fair if it wasn’t for part time element most would be happy ! He will still be picking team , tactics everything and is only away on international duty ! Not ideal part time but a better manager than some shite ! #Rovers

@The12thRover Can you expand on the differences? Like you state he had 30 games to turn it round but was appointed in November and had them out the bottom 3 before the turn of the year so turned it around quickly. I would therefore say not a well made point

So many comparing the Stoke situation to #Rovers. I thought I'd dig into what was similar. When you look at it there's more difference than similarities. ●30 games to turn it around ●Had a transfer window ●The season finshed under covid rules ●In the prem 2 year before still having some of that quality ●4 Months before international break, ended up being 10 due to Covid. (Rovers 1) ●Permanent contract ●won 3 out of there last 6 after not winning all season (Rovers 1) ●Scored 8 in their last 6. (Rovers 3) ●conceded 8 in 6 (Rovers 10) ●7 games before they played a top 10 team (Rovers 1st game) Similarities ●In the Relegation zone ●6/13 games without a goal ●GD was -12 (Rovers -13) Better ●GD away from safety (Stoke 3pts)

@MikeyDelap He did the exact same thing with Stoke under very similar conditions, saved them and then progressed them. Brilliant appointment for me and on another level to Rowett.

I have no complaints with who we have hired and the team that has come with him. I have major reservations about the basis on which he’s doing the job. Fingers crossed, strap yourself in and hope for the best. #Rovers

@fplStoopTiger Don’t think it’s defcon that’s the issue here. It’s the unfairness of how they apply updates. Defcon for me is a great addition but I would have mids with the lower bar and defenders with the higher bar to get it (10/12)

Love the base everything on one match brigade. We are very much an unknown entity. We could quite easily lose the next five. Absolutely and always want Venkys out, we are still very poorly ran as a club. But thinking I’m not going to celebrate big wins? Go fuck yourself.

@FPLPapa @GianniButtice No but every single one of those players in the the graphic aren’t mids in my view they are very attacking players who should be forwards. The main example for me is Salah. He shouldn’t be a mid

Will all these 6 change position and who have I missed? Matheus Nunes will surely move to defender and many think Jarrod Bowen moves to forward (I don't).

@FPLMate I think more of the attacking mids like the Salah’s should be reclassified as forward and also a new position of DM should be created. DMs are generally redundant as it is now but if you have them additional bonus for clean sheets it would bring them into focus and create variety
